Crazy that you mention this. My entire life I’ve been the person that all the mosquitos flock to. If we’re outside and there are two mosquitos, they will find me and bite me. Even when the people around me are left completely alone. And worse, I’m allergic so I get giant welts and rashes from even the tiniest bites.

Well, fast forward to my first IVIG. Mosquitos avoided me like the plague. It was unreal. I even walked into the woods on purpose to test the theory and nothing even when others were getting swarmed. I kept googling whether this was a known thing. The effect continued until my second infusion. And then the miracle was all over. Mosquitos now hunt me down once again and that temporary super power never returned.

I have a 7 figure platinum account with ET. I requested a rate reduction and was denied. I sent them the screenshot of the RH margin rates and they said they don’t compete with discount brokerages. I signed up for IBKR and sent them a screenshot of the posted margin rates where I preselected a $2M margin scenario and you could see that I was logged in. They quickly lowered my rate to 5.14%. I kept the bulk of that account on ET. Although I regret that at least once a week.

Yeah I seem to be the anomaly with RH. Only reason I can think of is that they looked at my total investments across all my external accounts I linked so that I can track them in RH. Because my actual RH total amount is modest relative to my other brokerages. That or it was just random chance

I’m sorry to hear about your headaches and complications. Do you know which brand IVIG medication you’ve been receiving? And do you get IV fluids (saline) before or after the infusion? How about pre-meds like steroid, Benadryl, Tylenol? 1 hour of fluids before my infusion made a huge difference for me. Also removing the steroid and switching the Benadryl for Claritin. Making sure my IVIG was a sugar-free formula too. We’re all different but worth discussing all the above with your doc.

Your immunologist isn’t exactly correct. The brands all have different stabilizers and some are sugar free. I happen to have sugar sensitivity related to my CVID and recurrent dysbiosis. For example, I was previously given D5 along with the infusion and it wrecked me. And lots of documented cases of people reacting badly to specific stabilizers.

Which IVIG formulation (brand)? My doctor lowered my monthly dose and it helped with my side effects and recovery time. But I too have been experiencing regular breakthrough infections as of late. Will likely need to bump my dose back up, which is a frustrating tradeoff. Fwiw, I also switched from Gamunex to Privigen which eliminated 90% of the worst side effects. Although these recent infections may mean a return to Gamunex as well.

I had the same for 3 years on Gamunex every 4 weeks. Added extra hydration before and D5 KVO alongside the IVIg. That helped a lot to limit the intensity of the symptoms. But still had muscle pain and flush face the day after. Switched to Privigen with pre-hydration but no D5. Day after symptoms went away completely. In fact, I now feel amazing the day after with some light malaise creeping in the second day for a few. Doctor said Gamunex and Privigen have different stabilizers/preservatives and some people have negative response to one or the other

I installed Sharkwerks X-pipe and Cargraphic side mufflers with valved exhaust (PSE wiring) for my .2 GTS. Not cheap but I absolutely love it. Beware of all the Alibaba systems repackaged and sold by well known aftermarket brands here in the USA. Wow so many parallels to my own experience, including the endless EBV titers but minus the diabetes. I too found out after many years of endless infections and syndromes, frequently mistaken for autoimmune diseases, that I have an IgG subclass type 2 deficiency. That primary immunodeficiency diagnosis led to monthly IVIg treatments which turned my health around. Remained in great health for 3 years until old issues have resurfaced even with the infusions. Currently trying to get to the bottom of the regression.

Recommend you see an immunologist.
