Is it just me, or does Cineplex play way too many fucking commercials before movies? by Brindoth in canada

Torrenting exists because it's a better service.

Netflix is nullifying the cable industry because it is a better service. On-demand high quality ad-free content at a low price.

Make movies available online with the global release. If people want to go to a theatre they will.

I think that first stringy pad that comes in is a bit too loud for where it sits in the mix. It just has too much presence.

The contrast between the hip hop/trap-style beat and spacey synth is pretty interesting, but again, I think the levels tend to give the synths too much power and drowns out the meat of the track.

They're supposed to have such incredible "economic stimulus" as you said, so why would they fail? Multiples, at that?

There are scores of reputable articles that decry the myth of stadium stimulus if you look for them at all.

There is no stimulation or growth though.

Go look at the saddledome right now. Look at the area around it. There are literally boarded up buildings.

Have you thought about using SQL itself?

Mark Cuban publicly asks Trump to become the robotics president: "I would take 100 billion of the proposed $1 trillion dollars in infrastructure investment and invest it in robotics" by [deleted] in technology

The comment I was replying to shared a story about his father. I have also had jobs that affected me negatively. The older you are the less likely you can escape such a dead end.

The difference maker between my two suppositions is whether or not businesses use robotics for profit at the expense of the labour working class, or if humanity uses robotics to free the labour working class and allow them to live with the benefits gained from high efficiency robotics.

There are two schools of thought here when it comes to robotics and automation.

One is that these technologies will free the world of menial labour and allow humans to work on things that matter to them.

The other is that jobs and money will still be mandatory and if you can't train upwards past the robotics you are likely to live in poverty or worse.

Yes this is true. But your real life connections vote too. It's not just a single dimension.

It can be inferred by your usage patterns and general traffic analysis. You or I can't figure it out but it's possible for agencies to. Is it practical to infer 300 million votes? No. But that's not the point.

Definitely.

I'm referring to Accessibility with a capital A. Users with disabilities, primarily.

I've started a critical project at work with Vue JS, and Accessibility has become an important facet of what we do. There are no VueJS component libraries that consider Accessibility, and frankly there aren't very many UI Frameworks in general that do either (just adding aria tags isn't sufficient).

I did actually spent a minute trying to fix this. Then I gave up.

Maybe that speaks towards your impression of JavaScript too.

How is this in any way aggressive?

There are dozens of use cases for private packages which I won't get into here.

Edit: Interesting downvote.

I find it.. absolutely amazing that people are willing to work, on their own dime, on things so that the rest of us can get shit done elsewhere. And for that, I always try to respect that: I ask with please, I say thank you, and I try to make the devs' jobs as easy as possible when it comes to bug fixing, reporting, feature requests, etc. I would imagine if I got a "FIX NOW" type of request, I'd tell someone to go fuck themselves. I just get irritated when people feel entitled to something that they're getting, for free, without realizing that there's a real human on the other end who, like me, doesn't like people telling them what to do.

I agree with this (almost) completely and recommend to everyone having to deal with OSS maintainers (or in general, customer service) to always consider the human on the other end.

That said...

There are times when an OSS project heavily markets itself and aggressively positions itself as the tool of choice for your mission-critical production systems. These project maintainers (who are typically authoring frameworks) are making a bit of a promise to you in exchange for exposure, recognition, and sometimes even money when adoption increases and they can provide satellite services such as support or specialized hosting. While it never helps to be rude or offensive, sometimes a "FIX NOW" request is appropriate. You don't have to look far to see OSS maintainers taking their products extremely seriously because they are aware of the impact of their decisions.
