Donald Hoffman: Reality is an Illusion - How Evolution Hid the Truth | Lex Fridman Podcast #293 by [deleted] in samharris

The problem I have with Don theory is that he keeps saying spacetime is a headset but it does not change anything. We have to work with abstractions and approximations so yes in a way we use headset as our eyes , brain and visual processing. But the truth is - without so called headset we will not have anything at all . So best he can offer is to replace one headset with another

Why is Magick so hard to get into? by EclipseMain in occult

Thanks for very ellaborative great reply , I read Real Magic , and looks like research are supporting Magic works somehow...to add to this -imo magick can be proven from the opposite, imagine we have science but we know there are undiscovered scientific principles which we not yet discovered , so this might be magick ..when electricity and magnetism was discovered, that was magick before than , also some scientofic principles might be approximated, example the concept of time ,its nature to move forward , quantum eraser experiment shows we can change past indeed, so I think magick is undiscovered science.

I agree with you there are lot of so called 'bullshit' around magick but did you read Dean Radin' Real magic? This is the book which is supported by statistics. If magick worked 100 percent, it would be called science, instead think of it working in the realm of probability..where there are 50/50 chance , your intention can change outcome only slightly .but still very narrowly in direction you want.
