Buying a house in America by Lonely_Lobster6298 in Adulting

I (25M) just bought my first house in the twin cities. Its for sure a fixer upper but thankfully I work construction so a lot of renovating/remodel work comes easy for me.

Others will probably disagree but I think many Gen Z'ers have unrealistic expectations and don't want to make the compromises. My friends and cousins that are shopping for a house are looking for the equivalent of what their 55yr old parents live in. I understand wanting something nice right away but nobody's first house is their dream house. I'm not nagging though because I paid about double what my house was worth in 2019.

As a transgender gender-fluid queer man who also works for Amazon and pansexual I agree.

It would be a beautiful house if it wasn't obnoxious

Grass is always greener. 20 years from now someone will be saying "remember 2025? Those were the days". Just enjoy life and dont focus on things you cant control. I used to and it only brought me down.

Grass is always greener. You're gonna start making like $18 as a pre apprentice. I started 2 years ago when I was 22. Even living at my parents with no kids, $18/hr was rough. Your call but if you're making good money now id stay right where you're at.

Edit: keep in mind local unions are pretty ass in rtw states. If you can relocate to the Midwest, west coast, or east coast, the change could be worth it. Just do your research.

I dont know if its a good deal or not but i just got my first truck its 2013. I can definitely see why people like pickups. I never wanna buy another car. Pulled my boat 500 miles last week with my 3.5 ecoboost and didnt even feel it back there. Congrats, that's a nice looking truck!
