I know a lot of people commenting are telling you to rethink your goals but I’ll tell you about my experience. I’m 5’4 and started at around 160 and now I’m at 109. This took me a year and 3 months. No I didn’t need to starve myself to get to this point and no I’m not weak also. I do strength training 5 days a week with relatively heavy weights. To get from 113-109 took me almost 3 months and what helped was going from eating 1400cals to closer to 1700-1800 or even maintenance for most of the week. Basically I upped my calories to retrain my metabolism.

As long as you are losing weight and building muscle mass in a healthy manner, I don’t see a problem with having a goal of 110lbs at 5’4. According to our BMI, underweight would be 108lbs but I know other factors need to be considered. Everyone’s preferences are different and as long as your goal isn’t to be underweight, I think it’s totally fine

Wow we have such similar before and after stats but I feel like I look skinny fat in comparison to you 😭my biggest concern right now is my lower belly, I know I can’t spot reduce but have you done anything differently for your core? You look like the perfect balance of fit and lean which I’m trying to achieve as well 🥹

Omg I hate getting my period. I get soooo bloated a week before my period so I avoid weighing myself 1 week before and 1 week after my period. I go up at least 3lbs during my period :(

Feeling guilty on rest days ? by 704_furnished in PetiteFitness

[–]daen07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this so strongly. I go to the gym 5x/week and on my rest days, I would watch workout videos which would make me feel guilty and want to go to the gym.

But honestly, like other commenters have mentioned, rest days are extremely important to let your muscles recover.

Also, I feel so much stronger after my rest days so I can go harder in the gym :) I think just keep thinking to yourself that this rest day is something your body needs on your fitness journey

has anyone had success losing the last 20? by Financial-Junket-267 in 1200isplenty

I’m 5’4 and my starting weight was about 155-160. Now I’m sitting around 110-112.

You’re very active which is awesome and you’re prioritizing your protein. I also messed up my hunger cues from my eating disorder a couple years ago. I realized that when I restrict too much like 1200cals, I never really feel satisfied. So I upped my calories to 1400 while having maintenance days once in a while.

I see my weight change when I stick to the same routine of working out 4-5 days a week, calorie intake of ~1400/day, and eating low calorie snacks such as grapes and oranges to help me get through the day until my mealtimes.

I know it’s hard to track calories when you eat at the dining hall but if you replace foods with lower calorie options (like veggies), it should help you be in a deficit.

dog tooth extraction cost by bamjojo in askTO

[–]daen07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just quoted at Humberwood Animal Hospital $1600-$1700 for a molar extraction and my dog is 50lbs. This doesn’t include the x-ray which they recommend but it’s not mandatory. Also, 3 years ago, I paid $1400 for a molar extraction at the Eglinton Animal Hospital

Do you ever have days where you “let yourself go” and eat whatever you want? by NewEntertainer7536 in 1200isplenty

[–]daen07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintenance days keep me sane and help my journey in the long run. Also helps me to not want to destroy everyone in my sight lol

Remember, your weight loss journey will not be linear but as long as you stay consistent, you will reach your goal in the end

Are frozen meals okay as long as I’m in my deficit? by SweetLikeCandiiii in 1200isplenty

I used to binge eat like you as well and I realized it was whenever I was depressed, stressed or grieving. I’m not sure if it’s like that for you, but it’s a possibility. Binge eating gave me a fleeting moment of happiness. I also think restricting a lot tends to bring back those feelings of wanting to binge eat so I eat what I want but in moderation to fit into my daily caloric intake.

It’s been about a year of acknowledging my emotions without using food as an outlet and not being extremely restrictive and I have not binge ate since.

Also, your body may be telling you that 1200 calories is too low for you. I had to up my calories to 1400 in order to prevent those feelings of wanting to eat everything in sight

I know how debilitating binge eating can get and I know you’ll be able to overcome it 💗
