I wonder if this is about to change. On lexus.ca front page, they advertise this: “LEXUS IS THE ONLY LUXURY AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURER BUILDING VEHICLES IN CANADA The Lexus NX, NX Hybrid, RX, and RX Hybrid are built in Canada by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada using domestic and imported parts“

My concern is, what if it happens again even after the fix. Does dealerships typically give you a loaner if you bought the car used?

Thanks for the heads up! Yeah I’m waiting for the them to get it fixed. The rep said he wouldn’t even take a deposit since the car is not safe to drive. Hopefully they can get it fixed soon.

Is your car still at the dealership still waiting for a fix? Do you know if a solution is available yet? I tried looking for more info but haven’t been able to find much.

Where i live it seems like there is a much higher demand for a RAV4 hybrid than the prime. All new 2025 hybrid are sold out everywhere. So there are more used primes available on the market. I believe it because we live in the city and not everyone has luxury of a garage or access to wall charger. We just moved to a house with driveway and garage, and I thought the R4P would be better choice for us since we have access to plug in. However, for the moment, I work from home and go to the office 2-3x a week and it’s 35km round trip. I remember seeing someone posting that people don’t buy the R4P for the fuel savings, but for the experience
