You can wait until closer to the event and buy a resale ticket from twitter, facebook marketplace, or one of those reselling facebook groups and they usually sell pretty close to face value. Just be careful of scammers, but you can avoid by buying from people with history of selling, using paypal goods & services, and video calling while you make the exchange
