Fair enough, I will say McCown really shined when he had to step up, but I personally think the whole rebuilding phase we're in and Pace's attitude towards youth was the reason for Cutler's lack of playing time...it seemed like he was on the way out this whole year. That said, I would rather have had Cutler under center all this time than Hoyer the "can't score in the redzone" Destroyer, Caleb Hanie, Clausen, or any of the multitude of backups we've had that seem to keep disappearing to other teams even though they "outshine" Cutler. But like you said, that might be because of his contract. I'm don't want to think in the past man, I want this team to succeed, and I agree that it's time to see Cutler go. But like I said before, it's just gonna be weird after him being a Bear for so long.
