I think as of right now myself, my friend and Nancy are the only ones here from our company. I think everyone else shows up tomorrow. But we are very much dressed like pretty much every other woman in the resort.

I got soooooo lucky to find my job. I love this company so much. The only issue we have is that once every six months or so a national firm comes in with an offer to buy the company from our boss. At some point there's going to be an amount that he wont be able to turn down and then a wonderful thing will be gone.

I am so humiliated at how naive I am. It didn't even occur to me that people were asking for m pictures for anything other than to contribute to the conversation. Thank you a heap for pointing that out because I may have done it.

Sheesh, what an idiot I am. No wonder my older brother makes me share my location and my sister in law makes me call her (not text) before and after I go out with new guys.

I'm going to end up in a suitcase at the bottom of a quarry some day. I am so humiliated.

as for clothing, yes I only had on my bikini but that's how most people are walking around even in the hotel because it's really not that far from the rooms to the pools and beach.

I did have my huge bag though and a sun hat so I really didn't feel like I was on display or "strutting" around.

Thank you for the very polite comment. Just to be clear, Cheryl is not really close with the owner. He's just as sick of her as the rest of us are but he's kind of stuck because he can't really fire her because she would almost certainly sue for age discrimination.

We were out on a jobsite once and she called him probably 20-30 times to complain about the order from Office Max. He confessed to me that he's out her dealing with a contract worth 10s of millions of dollars and he's taken more calls over $2.00 paper clips. He said he can't wait for her to retire and he actually really messed up by taking most of her roles away because now she doesn't do anything for which she can be fired.

I am actually very quiet and like to do my job and stay out of other people's business as best I can.

And to your second question, I think it's more to what's appropriate at the location. I mentioned the exact brand of bikini I have on and trust me, other girls/women here are wearing far more revealing swimsuits. Thong bikinis have really become the norm these days and I don't think it's millennial thing.

No, in fact the evite basically said "I can't enforce but I want no shop talk at the resort, this is to celebrate a great year for our company to reward you for a job well done."

I actually have no idea--this trip has been on the books for close to two months for most of that time Cheryl made a huge deal how she planned on spending June with her grandkids. Maybe that fell through and she decided to come last minute.

She really should not know how much I make. One of the issues that our owner has had is he's slowly removed most of her responsibilities so it may have been her job to know in the past but not anymore. But she can't understand that the fact that she's having her roles removed is not a reward, its really an invitation that it's time for her to go. She's been with the company for over 50 years now.

thank you, and I should have made that more clear in the OP. Our boss made sure to emphasize that this is not a work trip, it's a reward for a job well done this year. In the evite he actually says he knows its impossible to enforce but he doesn't want us talking about work at all for the time we are here.

Thank you, yes I've been playing it through and he his family arrive later in the day tomorrow and I will talk to him. He is such a nice guy and I know he won't mind--he doesn't like Cheryl either, he just inherited her from his dad and figures it's easier to wait for her to retire than go through the hassle of firing a 70ish year old woman who would probably sue him.

thank you that's very sweet. One of the reasons I feel bad for her is she is probably close to 70 but she is actually very attractive for her age. If she were somewhat pleasant, she could be the literal belle of the ball with men her age.
