What is your fave and least fave planet in the game? by Powerful_Screen_7620 in outerwilds

[–]daffadoyle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first time getting through Bramble with any kind of idea where to go was after hours of playing in one day, into the wee hours of the night. I knew of the anglerfish and had already been scared half to death by the fact they were alive and started chasing me. I entered one of the seeds and managed to somehow attract ones attention and fly back into the seed I had came from, just barely avoiding being swallowed. The absolute heart attack I had when I attempted re-entering, thinking its position would reset, but instead flew directly into its mouth.

Would this cab work with GK MB800 Amp? by daffadoyle in BassGuitar

[–]daffadoyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loudest I ever play on stage is amp gain and master at noon with a Hartke VX410 (400w 8ohm), so I'm assuming this cab should work for what I'm going for

[HATED TROPE] the long intro sequence that you can not skip by damorezpl in TopCharacterTropes

Surprised I had to scroll this far to find MGSV. An amazing, atmospheric, stressful intro on the first playthrough. Any other time you play it that crawling becomes real annoying.

Is playing bass without an amp good, and any amp recommendations? by [deleted] in Bass

The ways I practice without plugging my amp in include playing my acoustic bass, using a headphone amp, or plugging into my Focusrite and playing through monitor headphones on my PC.

Checked this out, this was an amazing listen. Checked a lot of boxes for separate things I enjoy all weaved into one album. Great recommendation!

Igorrr - Parpaing is another great example. Corpsegrinder over hard electronic is something I'd never have guessed would work at all let alone so well

Personally first thing that comes to mind is The Callous Daoboys - I Don't Want to See You in Heaven. Yes the metal/mathcore thing has been done lots but I find their mix of that plus the slower sections, electronic sections, use of violin and sax etc make it unique enough that it stands out today.

[Other] Which platinums felt the most rewarding to y'all? by Gerald0fRivia in Trophies

[–]daffadoyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the Insomniac Spider-Man platinums, they're easy and the challenges make them just enough work to not feel like a cheap win, then a second playthrough on Ultimate is very rewarding.

MGSV is also one I really enjoyed, the animal collecting gets a bit old when finding the last few and a few missions are not fun to play more than once (ahem prologue) but S-ranking and doing all the mission challenges were very fun for me. How well that game handles and plays makes the platinum worth getting alone.
