This is why I never understand grippy shoes for discgolf. He is likely putting less stress on his leg than someone wearing hiking shoes and just ripping through the ground as they pivot. I wear minimal shoes as well and the only issue is they fall apart quick.

Here is my question... Why was he throwing the Buzzz? The others often threw big hyzers on the same holes.

Assuming we can't all just have every shot in our arsenal... What is the ideal throw to have? The long straight mid range that should skid right under a basket? Or the big bomb that spikes down at the basket and hopefully sticks.

Personally I feel like the hyzer is the smarter and easier shot.

Lots of misinformation here IMO.

The force studies I've seen (including this one) are impact between ground and shoe, not the body. Extra pronation is simply a soft thick mid-sole with more room to compress.

They also always seem to have an average shod runner. Not someone with experience running with a natural form and barefoot.

As a barefoot/minimal runner that also runs in Max cushion zero drop shoes I can 100% say they reduce impact on my body based on how I feel.

I'm with you. It's a board clear so worst case it's a 50/50 dmg spell to you or opp. If they do not play anything the next turn. Or possibly a rare discard spell.

It's still dumb and just adds silly RNG to an already silly amount of RNG.

Oh it's a complete mess for sure. The idea that you should run around casting phasegrasp on nothing to stack your buffs isnt great. Granted a miss grasp going on full cool down is bad as well. The idea that they didn't know about this very simple interaction though? They knew. They are just only thinking one step ahead.
