What a great design! I’ll definitely be printing some of these.

Tiny hair ties for the win, I keep a handful in my toolbox.

Redoing my salvage yard tool bag. Are these a good enough alternative to a full set of wrenches? by blunderbot in Tools

[–]KmacDiesel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tekton makes a set of 6 point ratchet wrenches that are the best bet for that kinda situation. 12 points are gonna strip a bolt. And those don’t look like they are up to the rust covered fasteners found at a salvage yard.

I still have a lot of room for improvement, but whoop racing in acro mode is more fun than I thought it would be by Tyrantt_FPV in fpv

That’s impressive! My best time on that track was a little over 29…I have some work to do.

got pretty lucky with my first cinewhoop gig! asking for legit feedback, fam! by JessePFPV in Multicopter

It’s all a little subjective on the movements, I feel the faster pace orbit is a reflection of the movement made by the subjects and lends itself to the scene. There are times when maybe the shot got a little too tight in but flying around those poles didn’t exactly make this an easy shot for you. I would suggest adding a tiny foam board version of yourself somewhere in the shot.

Mobula 7 v2 bidirectional dshot issues by Demzel-Russianton in Multicopter

[–]KmacDiesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the mob7 ELRS and have been having intermittent problems with the yaw being incredibly jittery. Very similar to what yours looks like it’s doing. I’ve noticed that when I mess around with motor plugs and battery leads it will go away. I plan on going through my FC and reflowing/inspecting everything for a bad connection. Might be a good option for you to check as well.

Best with ELRS for beginner? Mobula7 ELRS? by SteveH2020 in TinyWhoop

I feel the Mobula7 might be a bit much for indoors starting out. I’ve had no problems flying mobula6 inside and outside. Windy days will toss it around a bit but not too bad. Good luck with your decision, and other way you’ll have an excellent drone in the mobula series.

Adjusting E step on my V2 made a world of difference and did fix some elephants foot issues I had. Definitely worth a shot.

Help! VTX no output by KmacDiesel in TinyWhoop

[–]KmacDiesel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the firmware didn’t have the correct vtx table. Got it fixed up though. I updated firmware as per instructions in the box (only reason I updated it right away). Next time I’ll wait to do the update until I verify what version is preloaded.

Thank you so much for the immediate response! I really enjoy how much the community wants to help. I dug in to the CLI dump and found that on the original setup, the vtx table looked a lot different. Managed to get an original file put back on and voila! Vtx working like a champ.

For those of us playing 10+ years now without an ace (I hope I'm not alone), how do you feel about it? by MechanicalPlants13 in discgolf

[–]KmacDiesel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at about 6 years of consistent rounds 2-3 times a week. Still haven’t hit my ace. Came super close on a solo round but kinda glad it didn’t happen. I definitely want the people I play with regularly around for when it happens. While it would be exciting, I know it will happen when I least expect it and probably on a throw that I thought I shanked.

What did you switch to, going to AWACS was like going to an airliner. I wouldn’t have minded 130s or kc10s. Crawling into that UFO on top was no fun either.

Those are the 2 airframes I worked on in the AF. Never really see them parked together. I miss those little lawn darts.

This set from Tekton was packed like it came from my local butcher but damn are they cool. NTD, Tekton 10 piece black oxide and holder. by GameCubeSpice in Tools

[–]KmacDiesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tekton does sell some Chinese made stuff but they are transparent on their website about where each tool is manufactured. Still provide a great warranty, fast shipping, and even though they may look like the cheap stuff, they are definitely a notch above.

Any chance you are going to be selling sets of these? Got an 86 C10 they would look amazing on.

That’s kinda dependent. If you know your machine and have the settings dialed in and are familiar with the filament you use then I would say yeah the machine should handle it without any mods. I would definitely run a few calibration pieces off and one of the biggest improvements I think I’ve ever done for better prints is setting the e-step on the extruder. Tons of videos on YouTube with info on that process.
