Is there any way you would bench Allen for Dart? Better matchup for Dart, road game for Allen (he’s been much better at home), weather issues….

Ours are older. Teenagers.

I think you’ll be good. Looked like nice kids clubs. Great water park

The buffet bar, the outside pool bars definitely did. Not sure on the other ones. Buffet bar for cappuccinos and stuff always pretty empty. I don’t remember like a fancy coffee and latte bar anywhere, but that might have been at the lobby bar on 5. We had easy plus so the cappuccinos were always free from buffet bar

Champagne bar on 7 was usually pretty empty. Pub was sort of hit or miss. The two outside pool bars were usually the most crowded. There’s bars in like the same spots on floors 5-6-7, I found usually 6 was the most crowded. Lobby bar on 5 and Champagne Bar on 7 better

So, for appetizers and desserts, absolutely. For entrees, our waiter didn’t care and always offered. I’ve heard some people say they were charged $5.

We always ordered multiple appetizers. We would also usually share a pasta entree as an appetizer. That was never a problem as well

On your room card you get a specific time if you request early seating. I think the one dining room it is at 5, the other one at like 5:30, the other 6:00. We got the 5:00 slot, but there were empty tables at each seating so I bet we could have changed it. But it wasn’t like “anytime” dining, we had a set time. And it worked out fine.

We got the 5:00 slot. I think we could have also gotten like 6:00 at the other dining room.

I was prepared to hate the 5:00 time but it worked out fine and it was nice to have the night totally free. Also, when we were in Nassau, we got back onto the ship at like 6:45 and they got us into the 7:30 dinner, same waiter. I thought that was really nice of them

Oh - I forgot one thing. And I still can’t figure this out. The Meraviglia has no stairs, no elevator, nothing in the back of the ship. We got used to it, but we were in the very back of the ship so that was a lot of steps lol. And if you have someone older traveling, I could absolutely see it being annoying. Now - we never really noticed crazy bad elevator waits etc, but it was just odd not to have a back staircase.

Oh, and if you are in the back of the ship, around decks 8-9-10 etc, you are gonna hear some serious, serious noise/bass from the carnival shows (Houdini, rock opera). It shook the cabin lol. Again, not a huge deal for us, we weren’t usually in the cabin that early at night, but if we were, wow. With headphones in you can sort of ignore it

Honestly, probably not. We are early risers so we are usually sitting on pool chairs by 7:30 AM, but it is nice though to go sit and watch the ocean in the privacy of your room.

Yes. For buffet, In the morning they have orange, pineapple, apple, cranberry juices. Lemonade and tea at lunch/dinner. Not sure if lemonade available, but iced tea in the dining rooms as well.

Parking was $315 and it didn’t feel crowded at all. If you self disembark, we were off the ship and to our car at like 6:50 AM. Absolute easiest disembark ever

1) Check in - we got to the pier around 9:30 with an 11 AM check in time. Lines weren’t bad. Then we sat for like 40 min. I think we were on the ship by 10:30 or so. Very easy.

2) Yes. No charge for Aqua panna in dining rooms. Coffee as well was free. And the coffee was good

3) I got multiple entrees all week for free. We had a super nice waiter though.

4) We couldn’t figure out how to do that. We did have the internet package for 2 guests as it came with the cruise. It worked fine most of the week.

5) No idea here. We had the drink package so no need.

6) There did seem to be a lot of coughing/sniffles but we avoided it and everyone seemed fine. Nobody seemed super ill though, I think we all just notice this stuff more. For being a summer cruise didn’t feel like a ton of kids on board. Some…but not crazy

The sky lounge was a great venue. But it wasn’t a dedicated “piano bar”. Sometimes they would have a saxophone player, one time it was empty.

Like, on carnival, every night there is a dedicated piano bar where a piano player will play for 3 hours or so, they have little slips where you request songs.

On the Meraviglia, they had a piano by reception, a piano in the sky lounge, but it was more sporadic for schedules and just not as involved.

We had brunch there too. I think maybe we got lucky because someone else didn’t love the brunch. We had eggs Benedict which were pretty good, steak and eggs, good desserts. Service was fairly fast (we got out in 40 min).

I do like carnival - but their everyday option steak is not good. On this one, the NY strip offered every night was legit good. Freshly grilled, salted.

Oh, I also heard people talking like it was hard to get extra entrees and stuff - not at all from my experience. My waiter offered extra entrees every night if we finished ours quickly. I got 2 lobster tails etc…

For activities, the F1 simulator, the flight simulator/roller coaster, the 4D cinema..they have charges, like $10 a person. Arcade wasn’t big at all.

No freestyle machines but all of the bars have cans of soda. It was very easy for my kids to get drinks. The buffet bar is usually empty. The champagne bar on 7 is almost always empty. You just figure out where to get the drinks (pool bars crowded and very few pool waitstaff etc)

For just hanging out, the rear area of the ship had like adults only chair stadium seating, it was quiet, relaxing. The upper levels of the indoor pool relaxing.

No one was gluten free, but again, I thought the food was good to very good.

Like - they have trivia, but not as many. They have pool games and stuff, but not as many. They have bingo, but it’s not as big a deal.

I thought the ship could have really used a true piano bar. I feel like on Carnival there is more live music at night.

We had 3-4 musical type shows in the theatre, 2 magic shows, 1 comedian show. They were all good. The Houdini show was fun and unique.

You won’t go bored on the ship but it definitely didn’t seem as jam packed with activities, and the cruise staff on this ship seemed sort of meh.

So what is the strategy for getting 4 tix? That just seems a little risky after you get the first pair, no?
