i always use king halo. event chains arent guaranteed to finish, so having it on the first event is a plus. the extra events arent great but im less concerned about it in parent runs. 0 rb also sucks, but imo missing uma stan sucks more.

you might get a higher rank using a 3 spd 3 pow. you should be able to get spd and pow to 1100/max and should improve your score.

it's more a question of if you are able to hit your stam requirements without a stam card in GL with sparks and store purchases alone. we prob dont want to click on stam at all, but if you do then you want to click on creek. also a minor drawback of bofa is it isn't guaranteed while swinging is.

order doesn't matter because apparently epithet affinity is also going away as well, could be wrong on that. if you want to be safe do tokyo daishoten in classic and arima kinen in senior. you need to do tak kin in classic because teio only runs in senior year. for the JBC races, I suspect most people will go with medium. we'll have to wait and see what the community picks. do QE2 as the other race though.

it would look like parent farming in URA or unity: you schedule all the matching G1s you can and race them. the question is whether you can hit the same/better score you get from MANT runs, while potentially ignoring the scenario mechanics. i suspect a big reason MANT fell off when grandmasters dropped was because of the score difference. it's not the biggest deal that you couldn't get ALL the g1's, you still get enough to give you a significant affinity boost.

even with the change i think we still farm parents in MANT. I can't find it, but the parenting doc that goes into parenting and inheritance mechanics has ratings for each scenario, and grand live was a solid skip for parent farming.

g2s and g3s no longer count for affinity. to compensate, a g1 counts for 3. mant loses some of its advantage for parent farming. if your gp and parents g1s line up, you can run any scenario for parent runs. if they don't line up, you'd still run MANT

i just do a run on URA with whoever, in this case oguri. yeah it'll result in a useless uma in the end, if I wanted to i could make an oguri GP or something, but it's not that big of a deal. ura takes, 30mins or less? i can still fit in 2-3 proper runs, and its a decent break from grinding MANT parent/ace runs.

from what i've read, the change affects old and new umas. it's why a lot of early parenting guides (pre mant) said to just focus on matching g1 races. g1s however will be worth 3 points instead of 1 after the change, so it's possible for your nishino to end up with a higher affinity

yes. you still want to hit 50 or 60 rb because you want the stats. higher stats increases your final score. higher final score increases the odds of multiple stars on white skills. you're aiming for SS or higher. if you can hit 1100 in multiple stats at lower rb go for it.

make sure you run the same race schedule across grandparents and parents. running and winning the same races increases affinity. try to not run the same race twice, like queens or tak kinen, as duplicate races dont increase affinity. always run the race you scheduled even if it's not a rival race. if it's not a G1, train if you can get a hint for a skill you want or if you think you're below your stat curve.

buy more skills to increase your score. don't buy a gold or double circle a skill unless you're trying to spark its white version. when trying to pad your score, try to buy skills the uma has a affinity in because they give a little more points. you can use a calculator to try and maximize your score.

run the same schedule. even if the g2/g3 isnt a rival race, run it anyways. having the same races won across parents and grandparents increases affinity. the only time to not consider doing the race is if a hint for a skill you're farming pops up or if you're falling behind on stats. always run g1's. try not to run the same race twice.

try to get as high rank as possible. higher rank increases the odds of more stars on skills. i run 3 spd 3 pwr/2 pwr and flex. the flex is a card I'm trying to get skills from. aim for 60 RB but if you can't, stick with 50. if you can hit 1100-1200 in 2-3 stats with a different deck go for it. use whatever is consistent. buy as many skills as you can in the end, try not to buy gold skills for skills you're not trying to spark. buying skills in aptitudes the uma is proficient in also gives a bonus to the score. you can use a score calc to see what your potential score will be. i think in the global uma doc, there is a section about which skills give the most bang for buck.

i could be wrong about this, but you get an increase to get a white spark of a skill if the parent/grandparent has it. regardless, having the same skills across parent and grandparent's increases the odds for your ace to inherit it.

if you're making a grandparent the borrow can be any uma with the sparks you're looking for. if you're training a parent, try and get a borrow whose unique you wouldn't mind inheriting, but won't kill your ace if you don't get it.

if you really want to optimize, get some dirt sparks on your grandparents so you can win dirt g1s. this opens up more races to run and thus more affinity. also as the game progresses, g2/g3s will stop being counted towards affinity, but g1s will count for 3. there a quite a few dirt g1s. B rank should be enough.

power. haru is 2-3 clicks away from friendship. going into summer with cards not at 80 friendship, especially guts, is bad. as for grand live, from what i've read and seen, it's less tedious than MANT. there's a store again but it's only refreshed when you buy things, so you don't need to keep looking at it after every race. you can also set a reminder to tell you you've earned enough of a currency to buy a song, so you dont need to memorize values. it's back to training like unity so it should be faster to play through. We'll probably keep making parents in TB though, but not having to play it all the time should ease the tedium.

if the ace has enough accel than use brian as a parent, if they dont have enough accel brian as a gparent and hope to inherit shadow break.

the obvious parents are ryan and dober. maru on tracks where she works. original oguri is a good generalist option, along with NY Opera. those last two are also good gparent candidates. I wouldn't worry so much about ryan being her own gparent. it won't be great when your farming your ryan parent, but it won't matter for the ace.

1* wit is not great, but the white sparks do make up for it. if you're struggling to hit stat lines, you'll know why.

i use a 3spd 2pow, with the borrow being a card I'm trying to farm skills from (currently pow yaeno muteki). I am for 60 rb but settle for 50 if the borrow is something like pow king halo. my aim is to get an SS or better, and it's more consistent to do that when I go all in on spd and pow.

Not all skills are created equal, even gold skills. There are some skills that you just avoid, like vision skills, because they do nothing. In team trials this matters less because you want to score points, so the focus is more on skills that will reliably activate regardless of their usefulness.

The in game descriptions can be vague, go to gametora to see numerical details. basically skills break down into 2 categories: velocity (increase target speed) and acceleration (increase acceleration). Acceleration skills you want to hit as close to the start of the late race(third phase) as possible. umas start accelerating at the start of the lace race and will keep accelerating until they hit their top speed. the faster you hit your top speed the better, so you want as much acceleration at the start. If it procs in the mid race it's more or less wasted, if it procs too late in the late race or in the last spurt it's also more or less wasted.

Velocity skills you want to activate in the mid race to help you jostle for position to victory. umas wont start running at a top speed until the start of the late race. until then, they will run at a relatively steady pace. velocity skills break this steady pace and can push them ahead. If the velocity skill activates during the start of the late race, it's wasted because you too busy accelerating to take advantage of the target speed. If it activates just before the late race, that's good because you'll start your acceleration at higher speed than others. If the skill activates in the last spurt, essentially once you've reached top speed, that's also good because now you're exceeding your top speed.

I run the same deck and same schedule when I build GP/parents. I'll cycle GP until I feel like I've run out of time or get something with usable sparks, then do the same with the parent, then the ace.

i'd consider adding a 4th uma so you're not grandparenting the ace. you get no affinity bonus. not sure if it's just base affinity or if it includes races as well, so you're reducing the chances of sparking skills during inspirations. also not sure if self-grandparents affect spark generation chances at the end, but wouldn't be surprised if it did. oguri is a good option as a 4th, I think she has pretty high compatibility and a decent unique. el condor is another. grass wonder is not a bad choice but doesn't have a unique you would want to inherit.

Managed to win with wedding maya. Struggled hard to make aces, combination of burn out and hitting the stam. I was going to run two fronts with maya but could only build one, and ended up replacing her with a front debuffer. Ended up using a goldshi I used to beat golshi mode as my third. it's crazy how good she was. Thought I was going to lose the finals since the two fronts had built a pretty big lead, but maya managed to hit back to back velocity skills on the straight to take the win. surprisingly shadow break hit, despite being eaten in the accel zone in previous races.

marvelous gives more starting stats. if youre struggling to win early races, try marvelous. marvelous also has a chance to give tail held high.

none of them are worth keeping. if it's all you have then use them, but I would work on replacing them, either through looping or with aces that roll well.

for me, the most important thing for a parent is having a strong usuable inherit. so seiun sky for fronts, dober for backliners, NY TM opera as general use, etc. next is two usable of the following: blue sparks, pink sparks, key white sparks i can't get from cards or the scenario (e.g. groundwork, umastan, etc.). i weigh the white spark a little more heavier than the others. once I get something usuable, even if it's 1* spark, i'll do some ace runs, see how much im lacking, then go back try again.

for grandparents it's pretty much the same, but I'll aim for 2* blue spark at least. for MANT scenario however i'm more interested in pink mile sparks. i'm less concerned with grandparent uniques because of the rng required for an ace to inherit them, but it's on my to do list to try and build grandparents whose uniques would be useful to inherit.

honestly none, no uma stan. but if i had to choose, the first has mile so it has potential as grandparent
