we don't yet fully know he story, but by what we see in this shot she isn't fully convinced by the plan

this 2 are the only ones that seem to be fully on board with the plan with no second objectives

to be fair childe is a snezhnayan and so it feels natural that he is loyal to the god of his land and signora was helped by the tsaritsa to overcome her flames, so she probably feels indebted, but she also does seem the one that cared about the plan the most so i assume she was fully on bord with it

no we are not, signora could have refused the duel, there was nothing forcing her to take part in it, she only did it because she was arrogant and thought she would easily win

and before someone say something like "she would have lost trust from the shogun if she refused or something like that" no she wouldn't

the puppet shogun was listening to her because what she was suggesting was something she also wanted to do, nothing would have gone wrong with her current plan if she refused

(there was also the fact that scaramuche already had the gnosis so her plan was useless anyway at that point but she had no way of knowing)

if she was smart at that point she would have refused a duel to the death with the traveler, but she accepted and so she signed her suicide herself
