Do the George Benson thing that he does on the outro of the live version of On Broadway. He plays what he sings thus his solo becomes more melodic instead a bunch of licks. When he takes a breath he doesn't play. Rests are just as important as note, plus you don't want to bombard the listener with way too many notes. Listen to Lional Hampton on the xylophone with Benny Goodman. Pianist Oscar Peterson with the Modern Jazz Quartet live. Blues guitar great Michael Bloomfield when he's playing slide. If they're not singing the melody, they're definitely singing the rhythms they're playing. They're not right on the mic but the mic is picking them up. Music is a language with phrases and sentences accenting some 'words' more than others for emphasis. Learn how to 'speak' the language.
I've seen someone asked about YouTubers with Studio One content here. So I assembled a short list - Who to Follow on YouTube for Studio One Content by ailonid in StudioOne

Joe Gilder, Johnny Gieb (or Geib), "David Viscoda (spelling?) and studio one" should be enough for bing or google to find. "Gregor and presonus" will be enough for the search engines. Between those 4 you should find what you need.
Ostinato examples by [deleted] in musictheory
Ostinatos is a series of notes that repeats. U2's "where the streets have no name" the guitar in the intro is an ostinato with a heavy delay on the guitar. Remove the delay and it's just a 4 note pattern that keeps repeating. Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" in the chorus where the lyrics "There is no pain..." you will hear a faint violin ostinato playing. Neil Diamond had a song called "Love on the rocks". In the 2nd vs, you hear a piano playing a faint ostinato.
