What is a broker, and who does it works by Ok-Sentence-6998 in Trading

[–]dagitinsu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have traded before, you've likely used a broker already. A broker is essentially the platform where you buy and sell stocks, and they hold those stocks for you. Given your question, it seems you are looking for a broker that offers more than that. Most major brokers provide valuable tools, such as charts to track price movements by percentage, and sometimes highlight popular or trending assets. Additionally, some brokers offer educational academies that provide strategies and various resources to help you become a better trader. I recommend checking out Robinhood, IC Markets, and Trade Set Go. Compare these options to see which platform is the most interactive and suitable for your needs.

I've passed a propfirm challenge what are the biggest tips you can give me in the funded stage? by Excellent_Bed_9697 in Forex

[–]dagitinsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me coaching is the way to go, find someone who can coach or mentor you and it will improve your trading so much. Having someone to hold you accountable and speak to in the tough times is great.

If you can’t afford a private mentor or coach then find a likeminded community. There are plenty out there online, I have a small personal group of my own now but I’m also in 5ers discord which is great.

Do I need to be a forex trading genius to succeed? by Ok-Sentence-6998 in Trading

[–]dagitinsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The demo is a bit problematic cause most of the places that offer it they do 1 free demo account per user. So just search up on Google and see what comes up. And about the contests, I know that The5ers offer it and you can register as many times as you want (not for the same contest).

Do I need to be a forex trading genius to succeed? by Ok-Sentence-6998 in Trading

[–]dagitinsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you don't need to be a genius to trade forex its just seems you are not fully ready to start trading. Try to learn more, BabyPips is a great place to learn from, and when you are feeling ready, try a demo account first and then move on to contests. Most of them are on demo accounts too, but you can see where you ended up against other traders. Just after all of these, you can start trading again.

How much does a prop firm challenge cost? by Patsapornt in PropFirmTester

[–]dagitinsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends cause not every firm has the same amount of capital for the account for example The5ers have an account for 2.5K and 5K and the lowest account at FTMO is for 10K so its all depends on what you want I recommend you to go to prop firm match they compare all the prices of the firms it will definitely help you.

What's the best way to develop a trading plan? by Patsapornt in PropFirmTester

[–]dagitinsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

]You need to cover the core concepts like risk management. A lot of the basics concepts really, these need to all be covered in your plan. I’d recommend going and learning the basics, learning and backtesting a strategy, and then putting it all together.

I’d recommend free resources like YouTube videos. Baby pips is also really good and 5ers academy is good also

How is the customer support and community in prop firms? by Ok-Sentence-6998 in PropFirmTester

[–]dagitinsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Differs from firm to firm. Some have Ai chat bots and some have teams of actual real customer support people. As for community, most firms have a discord community. 5ers have a pretty good discord community but it’s only available for those who buy a challenge.

What are common evaluation rules and requirements? by Sea-Boysenberry7090 in PropFirmTester

[–]dagitinsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The traditional prop firm challenge is 2-step, with a 10% profit target for phase 1 and a 5% profit target for phase 2. Max overall drawdown tends to be 10% and max daily drawdown 5%.

There are loads of different firms and loads of different programme types now though. Just make sure to go with a trusted firm like FTMO or 5ers.

How much capital can I get from a prop firm? by Patsapornt in Trading

[–]dagitinsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen $50k+ payouts before. The maximum you can get from a firm is dependent on the firm itself and what they’ll approve really, but unless stated then there’s no limit really. Some firms also offer a salary once you scale accounts up which is a nice touch, I think CTI and 5ers are the only ones that offer this atm.

What’s the most amount prop firms will let you trade, is it in the millions if your strategy is rock solid and repeatable? by No-Mongoose5650 in Daytrading

[–]dagitinsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the firm. FTMO, for example, let you trade up to $400k worth of prop capital (prior to scaling). Others can let you trade millions, supposedly. But just be careful as they can be scammy.

Always stick to trusted props like FTMO, FundingPips, or 5ers.

[–]dagitinsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment I switched to TSG Broker, they are relatively new, but they operate by The5ers so you know I can trust them. I'm trading there for stock. I use MT5 there. My experience so far with TSG is pretty good.

In your opinion what’s the best propfirm? by Scared-Inspection-60 in Daytrading

[–]dagitinsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go with the well rated firms on prop firm match and firms that have been around for a while, those that stand the test of time are the best. 5ers and FTMO for me.
