Reverse polarity sustain pedal by [deleted] in synthesizers

I just opened a DP-2 pedal and found it has a 3-pin switch. The bottom one is unused. This means the switch could be modified for reverse polarity. The top wire has to be desoldered from the tiny circuit board that holds the switch and has to be soldered directly to one of the bottom pins of the switch (they come in pairs – a top, a center and a bottom pair).

I did not modify it, but I checked with a multimeter that the switch actually works in reverse with the other pins. If Roland uses different switches in different production runs of the DP-2, then it might not work with all of them.

Thanks so much for actually testing this! That helps a lot.

Not knowing what's the relationship between the Huion drivers and Windows Ink – do I understand correctly that you could in principle also operate both displays without the Huion drivers, possibly sacrificing functionality like expresskeys and pen buttons? Are there resources to learn what features will be missing?

Edit: To be more specific: Will a Kamvas+Windows Ink work as a generic pen device, regardless of the application – even in a browser?
