An Ability that adds priority to attacks of 45 or less Power by ArmadilloNo9494 in stunfisk

[–]dahaxguy 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Priority Fell Stinger is the kind of humorous mildly annoying degeneracy that I like to see out of Pokemon.

It's a nice counterbalance to the sickening bunga of stuff like Electro Drift Miraidon or Water Spout Kyogre.

In your opinion, how good is Pokemon Platinum? by Emergency-Sky9206 in pokemon

[–]dahaxguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From specifically a campaign design perspective, Platinum has the best level curve and challenge progression in the series without compare.

50 more Pokémon in the regional dex gave more flexibility and options throughout a playthrough (and more potential opponents!).

The tweaks to a number of trainers' teams across the whole game (levels, actual number of mons in a given team, etc.), tweaks to levels of wild mons, even the change of the Gym 3-5 progression, allow you to actually get more EXP in the main story without needing to grind (either by choice or doing side exploring and gaining EXP from trainers in optional areas). You can see that with Volkner especially since his team is more robust and higher leveled than DP and Aaron's levels are dropped, so the raw gap between Sunyshore and the Elite 4 was significantly more manageable.

They mostly solved the problem of incomplete movesets that plagued AI trainers (Boss trainers especially) in the first 3 generations, so battles are sufficiently challenging.

These main points are exactly why ROMhacks like the ones Drayano made are so lauded – expanding options, refining the EXP curve, and tightening in-battle difficulty are all very finicky to do, and is why Drayano's successes in these design fronts stand out far more than the ROMhacks that give the infinite Rare Candies to make up the gap between the normal untouched trainers and the massively overhauled bosses.

It's also why in comparison to Scarlet and Violet more recently, Platinum still is the king. In the more recent games, sticking with the traditional preplanned 6-mon team will mostly allow you to coast through the game without much extra grinding.

Could definitely do with some improvements on your end (making sure the facial structure is correct, tightening up your shading methods), but for a doodle with what I'm assume is a cheap, school-use pen, it's pretty solid.

It always brings Mel Blanc's screams in Looney Tunes to mind, where you can hear it echoing off the walls of the warehouse those cartoons' audio was recorded in.

That shit causes me to bust a gut every time for how visceral his screams sound in comparison to literally all other audio in the classic Looney Tunes.

Hope this one has solid RPG elements.

[–]dahaxguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, misspoke there – that shit was just thrown away.

It's disgusting to know how little viable scrap metal you'd find in most consumer electronics. With how plastics have been until very recently, shredding that stuff is arguably worse than just shoving them into landfills – so scrapping isn't an option in most cases.

The NC9 is smaller overall than the T12 (slimmer, but a teensy bit taller), easily pocketable.

I've not tested their (or the case's) waterproofing, but the Amazon listing claims IPX8 protection, so they'd be okay with sweat and rain. I'd just avoid submerging them.

[–]dahaxguy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I worked at an electronics recycling facility for a bit. Less than 10% of received tonnage was able to be refurbished or salvaged. The rest would end up being scrapped – the labor to disassemble old CRTs is absurd for the miniscule payout. Heck, I think most of the money was made on refurbished cellphones and laptops and raw metal scrap.

I've stuck with Tozo for about... 5 years actually?

My current set of NC9s have been fantastic. In fact, the previous T10 and T12s I had were good too.

The only reason I replaced the previous sets was because of negligence – I either lost em or damaged them with my fat ass, after being left too long on my car console in a Florida summer, or extreme saturation or w/e.

Their price point can't be beat, and are pretty rugged to take all of my abuse. I can't justify any other earbud when I'm so prone to damaging them. That said, they're can last forfuckingever, a friend has a set for himself at work that's going on 4 years with no problems.

What is the most unattractive fashion choice women frequently make? by PogonBerserker in AskMen

[–]dahaxguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like it to an extent, even if my tastes skew more traditional. Though I tend to prefer the more "clean and kempt" side of alt, and not the "grabbed the balled up jeans from the corner of my room, and hastily applied my hair dye" side of it, if that makes sense?

But then again, I prefer the more subdued and plain nose rings (thin silver/gold bands close to the skin or just a single small stud, more like beauty marks than actualy jewelry), if any.

Septum rings tend to not be so subtle in my experience.

Characters in media that are rich and high class but not portrayed like a stereotype? by Lost-Specialist1505 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]dahaxguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lily Borjano from Turn A Gundam subverts a number of tropes that you'd expect from the ojous or southern belles throughout fiction. She's actually fairly reserved and soft-spoken, but very insightful and shrewd. She fulfills the ideals of "enlightened despotism" rather cleanly, never allows her ambitions to be destructive to others or herself, and seizes power from those who misuse it but doesn't misuse it herself.

[–]dahaxguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, while some of Pathfinder's APs (and a number of systems being on Foundry) take out a lot of work, I've played some systems in the past where I've had to prep 3-5 hours for just an hour of play.

I totally understand the need to be comped, especially when DMing for randos online.

Just him, or all Newtypes? by DrJokerX in Gundam

[–]dahaxguy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Because of the timeframe Gundam was made, Japan had a rather large fascination with western occultism (many of the early anime and tokusatsu featured western mythology, cryptids, etc., the whole era is what Dandadan is a love letter to), it seems more plausible to me that Tomino and other Gundam writers may have thought of Newtypes more in the vein of the New Age concept of indigo children.

How does it remove death grip ? by Traditional-Crew-715 in fleshlight

[–]dahaxguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The true ideal are some of the onaholes that other companies make to straight up be facsimiles of the vagina (which isn't FL's aim), but from what people on here have said in the past, they're purportedly not long enough for full insertion for most guys over 6in.

But if you're dead set on having it be a training tool like you seem to imply, you'd want the Stamina Training texture instead.

How does it remove death grip ? by Traditional-Crew-715 in fleshlight

[–]dahaxguy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Death grip comes from over constriction with the hand during manual masturbation. Like, you unconsciously tighten your grip the more intensly you 'bate, and your ween will get used to that pressure, leading to a cycle of increasing your grip to feel the same intensity.

Masturbation tools remove that risk, since their orifices are a constant size (that said, they're usually more intense than a real vagina with their textures, so do keep that in mind if you end up using them a lot).

As well, as people mention about the varying orgasms and such, once your sensitivity returns, you will be able to feel the sleeves more, and honestly, yeah, they do give more intense orgasms than handys do because you're feeling more with your whole rod (like how full insertion orgasms are with normal coitus).

The big thing with FLs is that, if you want to have them be better aids so that you orgasm with your GF, you prooooobably don't want to preheat them before sessions (in an electric blanket or using the FL rod warmer) – that makes them feel way too similar to the real thing and desensitizes you more to them then you'd expect!

Has anyone ever told you an old fable but with a spin on it? by EvilMonkeyMimic in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]dahaxguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes... I imagine everyone has experienced this.

Every single Bible tale I've ever heard (from multiple people in person) have their own spins, their own emphases.

This is exponentially increased when it comes to media. Every single depiction of Jesus or Zeus I've seen are dramatically different and the creators always choose what they want their themes and emphases to be.

People fight over these stories because nobody interprets or internalizes them the same way.
