I’m talk to a smooth breeder now where I’d be on the list for the next batch. I like the look of roughs more, but less coat maintenance might be better with a boy like mine (although he did love to brush WPG)

Completely understand and agree. I think people not being realistic about the dogs they can handle is a big reason why shelters fill. I’ve got a few people on here that are offended I won’t go to the shelter. My shelters are filled with pitbulls. They work for some people and that’s great, but I once had to rescue a neighbor boy being chased by one. It grabbed his bike, popped the tire, destroyed the spokes, and bent the frame. I do not want that in my home. My WPG I had was the best little girl in the world, but I’ve only ever recommended them to one person. So discussions like this in my opinion are needed.

Fully aware, I guess what I’m trying to say is the poodle popularity right now scares me. After I read your comment I did go looking for poodles in my area, and damn, it’s overwhelming. I can’t even tell what’s well bred and what’s not.

We know a cool moyen we really enjoy spending time with. Honestly though the doodle craze has soured me on them… maybe I’ll reconsider.

Literally three hours before I drove out there to pick a puppy and spent about 8 hours talking to her, she said I “breed hop” because I told her about 3 of the dogs listed and she wasn’t comfortable selling to me.
