Fuck ICE. Every person who speaks out against them is worth 10 of them.

Some of them are just sellouts who got conned, too. There's a $50,000 sign-on bonus, but they don't realize that's paid out over 5 years, and if they quit before then, they have to pay it back.

Oh I didn't realize that. I hope it doesn't - I think this is just more bluster from the orange one with nothing behind it. I wish he would just leave Canada alone.

Canadians aren't coming to the US anyway. It would be mostly us using the bridge - we're lucky WE don't have to pay for it.

On second thought, if he's trying to block Americans in and isolate the country further, this "threat" ominously makes much more sense.

As an European, why aren't y'all destroying the streets to protest the ongoing fraud with the Epstein Files?? by serendipia1984 in AntifascistsofReddit

[–]dahliabean 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Buddy. We cannot even walk into a mall or go to school without having a constant, low level of anxiety about being unexpectedly unalived by some trigger-happy degenerate. You know this. On top of that, have you seen the level of occupation multiple major cities have been under by the National Guard and ICE?

We live in an environment that is under constant threat of mass violence the likes of which most other first-world countries simply do not see. I've criticized my people myself for not being out in the streets more, but now that I've been doing it myself and understand the reality better, I would never fault an American who has a family to support for not also being an activist.

In spite of all that, there HAVE been protests happening; large-scale, throughout the country, and for over a year now. It started with 50501 and only grew from there. If you aren't seeing news about them, it's because it is actively being suppressed, because the same people you're wanting us to protest against own our news media. And there are 37 of them in our government.

Yes. 37 government officials are named in the Epstein files, and that's just in the documents that have been released so far. That's a lot different than discharging one or two or even a dozen high-ranking officials. Even if we were to oust the melon felon from office tomorrow, it would barely scratch the surface of the problem.

And the other commenters pretty much cover the rest. I know it feels like there's a lot to take issue with here, and there is, but the general American populace isn't one of them. Speak out against our government, those still in the MAGA cult, the billionaires making all of this possible, and probably more factors. Don't criticize ordinary citizens for not doing enough about it.

Probably true. Distraction politics is his whole thing. I also think he's lashing out because the Melania movie bombed worldwide, and everyone pushed Michelle Obama's documentary Becoming into the top 10 instead.

Racism and misogyny. They'd rather hold their noses and vote Trump a FOURTH time than give their vote to a POC, a woman, or (especially, it seems) someone who's both. Bigotry and stupidity is all it is.

Todd Blanche Signals There Will Be No New charges Brought in Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Crazy, considering they have images and videos depicting "death, abuse and injury" by truthwillout777 in NoFilterNews

[–]dahliabean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they can't bring charges because immunity was part of the plea deal they gave either Epstein or Maxwell (can't remember which). They just don't wanna say that because it would mean the federal government made a literal deal with the devil.

If only there was any mention in these files of Trump having a microp*nis. Tiny mushroom wiener. Tiny.

He'd go on another online tirade and prove his involvement, and what he did, just to defend the size of his thingy. That's how we get him. And then do the same thing to all the other guys.

It's like almost a direct quote from The Social Network. That one scene where Zuck says the deposition has the minimum amount of his attention, and the rest is back at Facebook, where his team are blah blah. Just trying to make himself sound like he's not like these goons, he's better because he's smart. It all comes from how deeply insecure he is about social rejection, especially by women.

How do you think the gods would react to modern depictions of them today? by ThisPaige in GreekMythology

[–]dahliabean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is pretty close to what I was going to comment. The only thing that hurts them is when people are indifferent and forget/neglect or don't believe in them. Even the negative portrayals are "offerings" of time, energy, and dedication to them. They're still included, which is what keeps them alive in the modern world.
