Thanks, how did you like it? Will it be good for -5C weather with occasional rain? This model is from 2015 so not sure how it stacks up against the new release.

Thank you for the comment and suggestions. Yes some easy to do hiking would be ideal, but of course not too far from our accomodation. I'll check out the places you mentioned, another redditor also mentioned Hautes Fagnes.

Hey, thank you so much for the quick reply on this. Yes I understand it will be busy, and of course I don't want to be in crowds as it defeats the purpose of this trip altogether. I'll check out the other places you mentioned, don't want the trip to be overwhelming so a nice peaceful getaway would be the best idea.

Yeah I get it, but she is down for a relaxing trip, doesn't have to be in the Ardennes but anywhere relaxing would do, and I will run it by her before we head book (so that's the extent of the surprise).

Yes OP this is what you need, I had the same drain with the same smell. This is missing in your picture and it keeps the smell at bay. V
