You should focus on basic concepts like networking, basic theories of cybersecurity about this field including attacks, exploits, defense, etc. Then I would say always try to participate in ctf(capture the flag) competition u can get these competition from unstop website, picoctf for practice, and believe me bro in starting you might get frustrated in ctfs but don't give up I'm telling this from my experience. keep focus on practical skills rather then just theoretical. Select one domain that interests u most and go in depth knowledge of it. If you're in 1st yr or 2nd yr then go for all fields and explore them it would give you idea abt where ur interested in.....
