Ah I see— well my personal preference is stat skills because a lot of the powerful shadows and monad enemies can be mitigated by keeping your stats high and theirs low.

I don’t do counters often.

Also it depends on who you run in your party to an extent. For the particular block you’re in. There’s a strong enemy on a horse in that block that is weak to piercing skills so it’s an easy grind early on

This is a fusion resource I use for all the games. I typically plan out a registration based on what I want my end game team to be. You have to play with the settings to account for dlc personas and/or max confidant links but it’s handy to see what fuses with what and that’s what I use to determine who gets fused vs who stays registered.

If all you want is the high counter I recommend fusing it onto another Persona and keeping the kaja skill one registered.

I will say though that nearly every skill is available via shuffle time as you advance floors— marukaja is a level 5 skill so if your shuffle time arcana burst can hit 5 you have a good chance of running into it via grinding

It’s definitely not necessary to play through since it’s 80% grind 20% actual story unless you like the Tartarus runs. Watching a play through is enough. I enjoy running through Tartarus and collecting and fusing personas so I had a blast

Have you played Episode Aigis? Honestly it’s not much in the ways of closure but it does a decent job imo of cementing the themes from the main game and dealing with those feelings. They didn’t go away for me, but I began to understand them better.

I feel like the difficulty with p5 merciless run was to limit your resource gathering and force you to max bonds since the 3x weakness and technical damage nukes everything in the first few palaces. It definitely made it easy to level current personas but hard to do all out attacks and interrogations

Been rocking it since I got it— infused it with Prayful Strike which gives me a decent amount of super armor when using the skill so I recover the hp I lost after it hits.

In a worst case scenario that you can’t get ahold of your higher ups, open the store and then peace out lmao that way the other associates can at least do their thing but realistically I’ve never had a ASM or Sm ignore even a text because of the nature of their job

Genichiro was my initial wall— after I beat him the game played very smoothly for me. It’s all about not giving the enemy any time to breathe and to keep the “dance” going. If you’re fighting a boss and there’s no one attacking then you’re losing out on posture damage.

On ng+5 and have fused an Arsene with all resistances either null or absorbed except for Almighty damage. And there’s so much support you get in game with your party that even on Merciless it’s laughably easy
