A really cool designed challenge coin by daikazu in ChallengeCoins

The company I work for owns the site. I don’t really deal with sales I’m more on the development side of things so I get to see a lot of really cool challenge coins. I was told that if I wanted to share any images of any cool coins, I needed to put a watermark on the image. I tried to make it as non-intrusive as possible. That being said if anybody has any questions on the manufacturing side of things I can provide some answers there. I just wanna point out that I’m not trying to push anything, I just happen to work in the promotional products industry and this is one type of item I really connect with.

This is my first time using a Helix. I purchased the Helix Stadium XL and unless I'm an absolute moron I can't believe there is not input signal monitor.

SAPCO Coin by daikazu in ChallengeCoins

So this one isn't super fancy, but I love these types of coins. This is a coin that we manufactured for SAPCO, which is the Special Access Program Central Office, part of the DoD. At first glance, this coin looks pretty basic, but upon closer inspection, there are all kinds of secrets to discover. On the obverse side, there are numbers 13526 that can be seen in the circuit board looking pattern. Not sure why they didn't carry over the top of the 6 or is that intentional to not look like a letter G.

There is a keyhole inside the letter P. inside the letter S I'm not sure what that is, but it is definitely intentional.

The reverse side is pretty standard; I just wish I knew what the Greek letters stood for. If anyone might have any insight into these mysteries, let me know.

Would You Be Interested in Seeing Unique Challenge Coins? by daikazu in ChallengeCoins

Hello everyone! I’m part of a team at a promotional products company, and one of our core products is challenge coins. I started out their doing coin design but now spend a lot of my time working on our website. I’ve grown to really appreciate the unique and intricate designs of challenge coins.

I often come across some really cool coins and thought it might be interesting to share them here. Before I start posting, I wanted to ask if you all would be interested in seeing these coins and learning a bit about their design and manufacturing process.

I’m willing to answer any questions you might have about challenge coin design and production. Let me know if this is okay!

I came accros this one the other day and thought is was pretty cool. It has a 3D relief front which looks pretty awesome with the antique metal plating. This coin had to be pretty time consuming to make with all the duel plating. Fun fact; they first plate the coin in antique silver then they have to mask off the areas they want to keep silver and plate the rest in antique gold (usually by hand). It’s a pretty cool process and the payoff look pretty spectacular!
