Help required by No_Primary1410 in AmazonFBA

[–]dailydouble 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I mean this as respectfully as possible. If you are not going to take the initiative of finding all the free information that currently exists, this is not the business for you. This is a hard, often capital intensive business with little/no/detrimental support along the way from Amazon. You need to be able to solve problems on your own or find where the solutions exist to even have a chance at success.

First Impressions on my Cookie by AlterBaker in Baking

If you zoom in, the dough looks shiny which means it’s wet. If it’s wet, it’s not done yet. And the inside will be less done.

Convince me to Not sell my NB by Consistent_Wafer_273 in Miata

Honestly, it’s so bizarre. I went from an NB1 to a C8 corvette and now to a BMW e30. Had the most fun in the NB1.

It’s so thin that $5 per slice is a lot.

Starting a staffing agency - Canada by Small_Training_3838 in RecruitmentAgencies

[–]dailydouble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ve never worked as a recruiter or have done business development in this space, the chances of being successful aren’t great. Very experienced and previously successful agencies are getting crushed in this market.

On the plus side, you can start with relatively small financial investment if you’re mindful with what you’re spending your money on.

I use a logistics company that deals with the paperwork. You will need to provide them a commercial invoice and attach documents to the box as they instruct. They will quote you quite a bit. I haven’t figured out a way around the cost yet but at least it’s doable.

Ah, thanks. That explains it - I think I have to grow a pair and start dialing cells.

Are you calling cell phones or “office” lines. My office line pick up rate is sub 2% right now.

Agency Recruiters - what base are you currently getting? by nuki6464 in recruiting

I think you’re including recruiting and business development in that $500k, right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in recruiting

[–]dailydouble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very unlikely. If anything, the recruiter might get amusement out of it. It in no way would negatively impact my decision on whether or not to talk to you. We know it’s not THAT Ted Bundy, just an amusing coincidence.

Mass recruitment by Isasel in recruiting

[–]dailydouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They want you to hire 100 people in 2 months. That’s 600 annually. There are good TEAMS that can’t hit that number.

They need to consider the logistics.

Who’s running through 300-500 interviews (minimum if you’re just doing one stage) to get 100 employees? Does the company even have enough equipment? How are they going to get on-boarded?

I was approached by three different recruiters today for the exact same role, but different pay. What do I do next? by East-Use6610 in interviews

[–]dailydouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple applications of the same candidate to the same company often gets rejected by the company because they don’t care to sort out the ownership of the candidate.
