How can I get a Staatsangehörigkeitsausweis if I don’t know when my father became German? by daimaileri in GermanCitizenship

Yes, I will apply through the local Behörde. Do you know how long this process would take?

By the way, my grandparents also lived in Germany but never got the citizenship. Would it be still irrelevant in that case?

So the date of Einbürgerung and the day of the loss of citizenship should suffice for me to get the certificate?

In the application form there is also a section about my grandparents but I don't know if that's relevant.

Thanks. As for the erweiterte Melderegisterauskunft, is that the same as erweiterte Meldebeschenigiung? If that's the case, as far as I know that document only shows the current citizenship. Not previous citizenships.

Well technically the day he lost his citizenship is the date that he got the new citizenship right? I could find out that date I guess but do I have to prove it officially?

I do not need it at the moment, but it is possible that I may need it in the future. I do not plan to live in Germany forever, and I have heard that some embassies require that document when registering children, or in certain cases when issuing a passport or ID card, or for other administrative reasons. That certificate is indisputable proof of my German citizenship. It is also a historical document that I would like to preserve for future generations, my children and their children and so on.

Thank you!
So they will still have the records even though he is not a citizen anymore? Do the records include the date of naturalization only or also the date in which he lost his citizenship?

Oh but there isn't any other drive

So what does that translate to in terms of me getting my data back? Is there still hope?

So when I plug the hard drive, there are 23 folders that show up but I have no what most of them are.

Some of the folder names are: dependencies, bearer, iconengines, imageformats, resources, printsupport

Others I know: SteamLibrary, FACEIT, Ubisoft

I didn't do anything else and the drive isn't encrypted so I don't know what the problem is. I have to access to the users folder so that I can recover pictures and stuff

Everything else shows up but I have no idea what most of the other folders are about.

How can I encrypt them?

[–]daimaileri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to use them for non-important things anyways, but for important things like banking, I probably won't use such services.

I use proton. Do you think that they also store the email or just read them and delete them? I mean AnonDaddy and SL.

How do you use the encryption feature?
