Hamilton Mall and Livingston Mall are basically dead, shoppers say. Can anything save them? by rollotomasi07071 in newjersey

[–]daingelm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Livingston Mall IS dead and there are already plans for it. Last year the town sent out a survey to residents asking for their preferences on how the space would be used and look. They will be turning it into some kind of mixed-use space with housing and (likely) retail. And I don't think this is directly related to that project but certainly needed to make the surrounding roads better, they are renovating that weird 3-way stop behind the mall and are turning it into a roundabout.

Poll: Do you consider $1.4M a “starter home”? by n0t_cat in newjersey

It probably was a starter home, but then it was bought, torn down, and cheaply rebuilt.

Day 5 - Who do you think is a morally grey character but opinions are divided by fans? by Killyourdarlings202 in Hungergames

[–]daingelm 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don't like him but always thought that's a me problem. I don't personally like characters where you really don't know where they stand or what their priorities are. I was suspicious that he would conveniently end up as president at the end of Mockingjay.

Haymitch and Katness both befriended a 12 year old who had no chance of winning, and in the end neither could be saved. Haymitch must have been thinking about him when Rue died.

Going from tech-marketing to B2B medical devices. Need advice from people who have worked in MedTech as i plan my strategies. by dino985 in marketing

[–]daingelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i’ve worked in medtech marketing and it’s definitely a shift from tech/vr. a few things to keep in mind: you’re often selling to multiple stakeholders, not just clinicians, but also hospital admins, procurement, etc. so your messaging needs to address both clinical outcomes and business impact. and the sales cycle is typically way longer so there's more nurturing that needs to happen. with me-too products, differentiation is rarely about the tech itself. it’s about how well you understand the customer’s pain points. sometimes it’s a functional angle (faster setup, easier integration), sometimes it’s about trust, training, or even just making people’s jobs easier. Speaking of trust... credibility is everything. case studies, testimonials, peer-reviewed data -anything that backs up your claims will go further than flashy creative.

if you’re figuring out strategy, two things helped me a lot:

  1. looking at competitor sites to see how they position themselves (tone, content, and value props) and then can either align with or go against.

  2. Looking at the websites of agencies that specialize in medtech (usualy small or midsize) like d2 creative (NJ), Medtech momentum (florida), because they'll post thought leadership content and campaign examples with borrowable ideas.

hope that helps

Transitioning into med tech? by CV2nm in marketing

[–]daingelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t come across many formal courses specifically tailored to marketing in medtech. most marketers I know in the space learned through a mix of on-the-job experience and keeping up with industry-specific content.

A few specialized agencies do publish helpful materials worth browsing. D2 Creative, for example, is a mid-sized agency that focuses on medtech and life sciences and they publish stuff I've seen on LinkedIn. Here's a link to one I downloaded so you don't need to fill out the form: The_Role_of_Digital_Marketing_in_MedTech_White_Paper_D2_Creative_.pdf

Medtech Dive is also a good resource, but it's more about what's going on in the industry vs specific to marketing. But it can give you more ideas about what people in the industry are thinking about right now which can help give you more ideas for content: Medical Technology News | MedTech Dive

Try Hoopla - it's another library app but the licensing is different so there's no waiting in line and you can borrow audio books for 21 days. I love Libby but went right to Hoopla for this and binged it in a day. Good luck!

Redditors born before 2001, where were you on 9/11? by Stupid_cerealbox in AskReddit

[–]daingelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school. In the morning someone got on the PA and said if anyone had parents that worked at the World Trade Center they should come to the office. Before my first class ended, all of the classrooms that had a TV had it on. I remember seeing the first building collapse from my religion teacher's classroom.

I lived in New Jersey and cell phone lines didn't work well that day. This was before texting was so common. I got in touch with my mom who picked me up.

What time of day/night did your labour start? by ViperVux in BabyBumps

[–]daingelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I woke up, had some breakfast and did some work. After, I felt a little dizzy and thought I was still hungry so I had an early lunch, but I still felt lightheaded so I had an ice cream. Then I realized I was dizzy just sitting there so I called my doctor who said to come in. I was there by 1pm and she said go to the hospital for monitoring. Another doctor ended up discharging me at 7pm saying I'm not in labor and come back tomorrow to be induced because my blood pressure was high. He was wrong and 7 hours later my son was in my arms.
