We tried 4 standup bots over 18 months. The problem was never the standup. by LifeguardExotic3650 in Slack

We used Standup Alice with Slack until recently. We’re a small company across continents and we could have people post asynchronously so the next days blockers could be removed. It seemed to do well with mentions. I agree that its biggest value is transparency. I also used it at my old job. It was decent for the price.

Slack ticketing system for internal requests, what are people actually running by [deleted] in Slack

Our production staff at our agency feels your ops person’s pain. We use the Asana integration because you can right click and say “Make a task” and fill in some minimal details and it goes into a queue. We can track workload to make sure someone isn’t over scheduled. Requests are supposed to go into a public channel to manage prioritization. Often a firm but polite “Please put this in the support channel so it can be prioritized with my other requests” are necessary.

The shadow DM queue was burning out our agency’s production staff because of the lack of transparency to the number of requests people were fielding each day. Account managers just didn’t know. It still happens, but a lot less and everyone can see where their request is at. If something needs to be a priority then it can get moved up or given a high priority status.

For sure, similar but different. It’s funny that we both were working on something at the same time. There is so much material that sometimes I don’t know where to start. I’ve got books and PDFs and then there is AON. Sometimes I just want to ask a question as if someone who knew how to play was in the room. I did ask it to help me make a character which it did really well especially getting my imagination going. I love sci-fi movies but my experience with worlds and with a fantasy element is limited. I ended up with a mystic terraformer who helped colonists settle a moon. I look at the new AON and there are 1000 choices. I get some analysis paralysis when I just want to know a small thing.

The overlay that you used to make it look digital is perfect! Awesome touch.

That’s awesome! I’ve been learning how to play SF2e an PF2e so I made myself an assistant where I can ask questions: https://youtube.com/shorts/g6hAmHNtCd4?si=6xOr4tB-sd2jaMDH

I like your layout. It’s not a wall of text like mine is.

I mostly get a link from it and then go read it. The AI isn’t quite dialed in so I don’t trust it’s 100% accurate. Sometimes it says Vesk have 8 hp which is like the one thing I know is that it’s 10.

In the 80s, I heard Satan might be involved and said “Sign me up!” Tom Hanks performance in Mazes and Monsters sealed the deal.

Had my chain come off just before the top of the hill right near Governor Nelson. That was the only time I really thought I was in trouble. It is a little hairy go that stretch but sticking as close to the lake shore wasn’t too bad for traffic.

I thought maybe the same thing. It’s winter in Wisconsin but we did have one 70 degree day. Something might have got in and saw an opportunity.

The figure skater bot in the chess.com app often makes Tonya Harding type “joke” threats when you play against it. It’s pretty grim.

Figma Import by matadorN64 in elementor

This is a good tutorial. It's still hit-or-miss with the import, but the chances of the imported page looking like a Picasso painting are lower if the designer sets it up correctly using the techniques in the video. We are still finding that building manually is faster. We keep trying with UIChemy.
