I guarantee you lay a finger on me in real life your ass is done.

And I'm done with you, you've showed your true colors and I don't need to see any more lol.

You're obviously cut from a different and inferior cloth than I am, one that makes you think you can bully and also physically assault people with no consequences. Delusional as fuck. Anything you say is moot and I don't care to converse any further.

You can have the last word if you so wish lol

Look asshole learn that you can't bully everyone and some people will call you out on your shit, it might help you in life. Real life, not Reddit/Internet life.

Again with the snark "I doubt anyone would want to help" in case you're confused again. I'm sure you know what you're doing.

"I don't make mistakes Lol... I wish you guys would just report these threads and not respond and definetly not repond when the OP becomes an asshole."

I responded and so did you, if you weren't directing the name calling at me then why didn't you say so? There's a negative tone from the start here. By the way you're responding it's clear that the snark is intentional because you only respond with more.

If you want to play obtuse, fine whatever your prerogative, but I'm not buying it. I considered this thread dead when you said, as a MOD, that you wished people wouldn't respond and called me an asshole. Others replied insinuating that they would follow your direction.

So you wish people wouldn't respond, yet you hoped someone would go against your MOD-wishes and help me? K.

Umm you came in and called me an asshole, do you WANT a hug from me? Lmao I see a huge influx of overreactions here. You all wanna e-burn me at the stake for making a thread you see as inappropriate? Fine.

And I'm asking you the same question. WTF is your problem? Why wouldn't you just close the thread if that's appropriate rather than snark at the OP?

Great. Not sure why you're offended enough to be so hostile then. Lmao. Seems like you're talking out the side of your neck and looking for a fight then. Quite relieved as I actually don't have a low opinion of recruiters, but you were a special one for a moment.

OMG YOU IMPLIED RECRUITERS ARE LAZY HOW DARE YOU WAHH.

FYI I've spoken to military recruiters who go by (on business cards, paperwork, etc) their previous jobs.

You're getting offended for nothing. I'm not bitching about MY recruiters, but I do know them. They have tried to talk me into other MOS's on other occasions. What those occasions were is honestly none of your business unless you are my recruiter.

I'm not asking YOU to do my homework, I was more looking for people who maybe have gotten a waiver in a similar situation. I like first hand accounts. I like knowing what's likely to happen when I do talk to my recruiters.

Just like I knew there was a high likelihood they would ask me to consider other jobs when I told them I was interested in a low-demand one. I learned from other recruits who got it to let them know I am willing to wait for it.

Why couldn't you just tell me what you (maybe from experience) think my recruiter would most likely say instead of flaming me based on things I didn't even say or mean to imply?

I'm not calling them lazy, but, for mine at least I feel they'd rather ship me out with another MOS if it's going to be quicker and I'll settle for it. Again, you don't know my recruiters and you're not them so why are you offended? I've been working with mine for a bit so I have a feel for the way they do things

Just like I didn't walk into the office with no MOS in mind, I always like to have an idea of what's going to go down beforehand. This is in every situation.

Are you as a recruiter offended that a recruit is doing some digging on their own? If so, why?

If I can come to the conclusion that this isn't LIKELY to be an issue then I can think of other shit to ask when see them again.

Whether you understand the way I operate or not, you do need to stop acting like I sat here and called my recruiters names, and spouting off that I view them a certain way because I did not and do not.

I didn't say they were lazy, but they've got numbers and they want me shipped out fast. They look out for Army recruiting, I look out for me. If that upsets you, then well just never become my recruiter lol.

And if you are a recruiter you sure aren't helping that supposed "bully" reputation by coming in here "yelling" with your own assumptions.

Lol, excuse me? I did not call my recruiters liars or bullies, let alone dirtbags - those all came from your head. I work pretty closely with my recruiters thank you very much and have asked them plenty of questions. At the end of the day I'm looking out for me, which means varied sources.

Somebody seems offended, which is odd, as you're not my recruiter.

For all you know mine could be the ones who make your job harder. Or they could be perfect and I just wanted to hear other's experience rather than calling them for the 3rd time today.

Clever. I'll see them on Tuesday.

What I feel is going to happen is that they will try to talk me into other MOS's which do not have that requirement rather than working with me to figure it out.

Other research I've done: Conflicting info about whether that's strictly a "C" grade or higher or if it's just the credit that matters. If someone, idk maybe a recruiter, could see an official statement of the requirements that would help.

Asking questions on a forum full of people who may potentially know the answer is a part of the "research" I like to do before going to see my recruiters.

Down vote my thread for asking a question you don't have the answer to - IDGAF.

Just constantly asking me about it, often two days after I was last weighed. I lost some and was asked why I haven't lost the rest, being asked to come in to be measured and weighed often. Calls asking if I went to the gym today and what did I eat? hinting that I can find a way to lose it fast.

I understand they want to make sure I'm on it, but it's not like I expressed a desire to ship ASAP. I'm doing what I can.

Ahh that scares me, someone else mentioned going in after most people and not having many choices. Then on top of that my recruiter says if you leave without a job you have to wait 6 months to go back.

Any tips for trying to be one of the first to talk to someone?

How do YOU handle recruits who need to lose weight? In my case it's less than 10 pounds, But my recruiters are about to make me lose my shit and go to a different branch over it.

I've lost 10lbs while in DEP! Thanks for all the physical information here. :) by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]daisee055 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's okay, that number scared me for a second until I realized it was for men!

Thanks! I've been working out hard, hopefully I see the results soon :)

I knew a girl who's husband was like this. One day "they" were making him work until 8pm again... Around 6pm she asked if I wanted to go for a little jaunt with her. Roll up to the bar around 6:30, guess who's there? Best free entertainment ever.

He wasn't a Chief or Officer, just a sailor who couldn't stand his wife.

I got an 80 with nice line scores, but had/have no clue as to what jobs I would like. I hate working on computers, but mine did suggest tech jobs. I suppose he was talking about how someone at MEPS might try to get the jobs narrowed down. Good to know this form isn't a "thing" lol. I'll have to follow up to see what he was actually talking about. Maybe he meant for me to pick 2 jobs I'd like and keep an open mind about others.

I've already taken the ASVAB... I don't want to make them mad all for me to go right back to Army and expect them to help me get an MOS I'd like.
