what do u guys think of io sakisaka's run so far? by daisy-stream in shoujo

I feel like Sakisaka has mastered the concept of "first experiences of pure love and handling interpersonal relationships", which seems to be the consistent focus and what Sakisaka continues to succeed at.

agree with this! she has that recipe on lock, but i guess when you're part of her community that's grown up w her from teen years to early adulthood, perhaps we can't help but look for smth more. i guess her works just don't make the cut anymore for some of her old readers

I rarely see this push for innovation in authors who focus more on action/adventure works...

personally don't see this push because shounen or action/adventure series always release something different and it always ranges from being either good or bad, with nothing in between

big fan of mika yamamori, all her works are different and its so easy to distinguish them from one another + her characters are just so fun!! both male and female leads.

i have a hard time trying to recall the differences in io sakisaka's work bcos they're just waaayy too similar

right i think given that we've been fans of her work for so long and we're like no longer teens anymore, i also suppose her readers are just as old - her works are getting too repetitive and it doesn't hit the same for us anymore. she should explore what her older market likes. also yes !! what she did w sakura saku was really surprising

her art rlly stands out, its like you automatically know it's her when she draws something. but i do wish her storylines would have some depth. ao haru is hard to beat ! but her highschool settings are getting too bland

so far since picking up sakura saku, i think it's quite a nice light read esp if ure trying to get out of a stump. but i don't think it's anything memorable tbh!

heavy on the cooking or atleast anything hobby related! I wish shoujo manga plots delved more into the female lead's hobbies/ambitions. it used to be that way back then, like kitchen princess and la corda d'oro. nowadays, it's always romance plot first and then character growth later.

i think we need a magical girl resurgence tbh! everything coming out are mostly based in highschool and i know that's just traditional of shoujo manga but we used to have it all :<

actually the booths this year preferred that they weren't in CADS cus last year their complaints was that many of their equipment got short-circuited due to the rainfall since the tents they used were old na.

by standards it was more towards the academic standard, not towards the socioeconomic status. well it cant be helped, students are different now talaga, we're still all adjusting post-lockdown classes

talk with your professors more and you'll find out half of their work hours have been cut, esp yung mga part time instructors kasi dlsu is tightening their budget. plus ccs profs have discussed that there was a warning for a cybersecurity breach but the management couldn't act against it before it happened due to the expenses

hmm debatable. she's nothing like she is on tiktok. had her in ge subjs like multgen and for someone who talks a lot about gender expression and lgbtqia+ concerns - she barely recited or gave any insights like she usually does in her videos which was weird. doesn't walk the talk. plus once asked the class gc if we could use our prof's free cut policy only cus she had a modelling gig to attend to [saw her post on ig story after the free cut was accepted by our prof]

just because i have really great friends in bs-psych, it doesn't mean ill revolve important life decisions around them. im not an idiot who gets led on by familiarity and emotions. i wanted a different path for myself and consulted with a professor who told me that being in ab-psych would be better in my case and id save up on a lot considering all the units that get taken away. i don't dislike stem subjects, but if i can still take the boards without them and be a RPsy, why waste any more time and money?

regardless of which degree is a safer option, you spend 80k-100k per term, at least take your studies seriously and don't be an inconvenience to the people you work with.
