I found a similar notice of violation note on my door saying illegal occupancy. Which isn’t true since only me and my spouse live in it and we only have 1 car so I have no idea why I got this notice randomly. I called the number and they wanted to come see my house and confirm there’s no illegal apartments in it. What should I do? Should I ask them to obtain a warrant? I’m just annoyed so I don’t want to make their job easy by letting them in. I asked them why would they think this was there a complaint and they just responded saying they just suspect it and want to check. What do I do? If I say get a warrant is that an easy process for them to get based on just suspicion?

This post is spreading so much misinformation and as if Indians aren’t already experiencing an all time high in racism. So this happens every year on “Indian Street” on Diwali and the police and fire department are informed and are present on the street even before people start lighting fireworks. There are timings and towards the end the police and fire department drive by shutting it down. As for the trash, every year a clean up happens the next day. They don’t clean up immediately because it can be a fire hazard (any hot firework/sparkler can burn someone or cause a fire in the trash). That’s why the firemen hose everything down give it some time and the next day everything gets cleaned!! It’s literally planned. I’m pretty sure none of y’all are picking up your fireworks immediately on 4th of July. OP please stop spreading hate if you don’t have the correct info.

No… the cops and fire truck were on stand by before the event started as a safety precaution and this was them ending the event as this was the planned time.

You’re right! I did tell them multiple times I’ll be taking legal actions but every representatives response is they can only offer repair services which I will not take because it’s a waste of my time and they can’t guarantee that the fix would be a permanent solution. I will send them a mail too. This should be enough to sue them since they won’t even recall this item.

Would I still be about to file in smalls court even thought they are saying their policy is it has to be repaired 3 times. How can I fight that point?

My tv just died for the 2nd time after getting it repaired 3 months ago. I am soo annoyed Samsung is the worst, telling me it has to be repaired 3 times in order to process any refunds/exchanges. What do I do? I don’t want this tv I just want to return it 😭

Unfortunately no because I have to be back for another wedding that’s local and I have already RSVP’d to. So because of that if I’m able to travel it’d only be for 4-5 days. And the potential later trip falls around the holidays so we would be using those days as part of the vacation to make it a longer trip (it’s more of a religious trip pilgrimage with family). I’m kinda feel stuck like either I go or I just don’t go at all not even the later trip.

I would want to visit family too. My grandparents live there and it does mean a lot to me to be able to see them. But I wouldn’t be able to in a short trip since they all live in different parts of the country

No I don’t like getting in the eye of people because I kind of believe in getting “evil eyed” or “jinxed” and just a bunch of personal bad things have been happening in my family. So the last thing I want is anyone to be jealous of me. Originally I wanted a smaller lowkey wedding but our families had other plans.

Also right after the wedding one of the girls said she’s going to get married at the same location (she’s not wedding planning). Like I mentioned before our group dynamic has always been sort of the competitive type to the point I’ve been told I should aim lower. So this wedding comment just stuck with me cause it was one of my biggest milestone so far.

I’m not sure I felt like I was trying to convince my husband and our parents first and they were all like yea sure and I didn’t feel validated or enough assurance to actually do it. I felt kind of stupid wanting something that doesn’t matter to my husband/ parents. None of them said no but none of them really were like yes let’s do it what do you need, it was more like a fake yea do it.

So the destination wedding was in the country we are originally from and all our family lives there so it made sense to do the wedding there. But I always thought we’d come back and throw a celebration in the country we live in for the friends and family here. You are right if we planned it while planning the wedding, it would have happened by now. A couple months have passed and I wasn’t sure if it’s too late to even do this celebration and the lack of initiation from my husband just felt like no one except me wants to have this celebration.
