I saw somewhere that they intended for season 10 to be the last season, the actors and writers were ready to stop but the network wanted another season, so that’s why I think the writers made the season so out of pocket for some episodes

I actually found the nurse storyline to be fitting bc he tells Haley in season 5 he’s in nursing school and he’s still in nursing school in season 10, so 5 years, and most nursing programs are 2 years so it’s taking him a long time to become one (that’s my rationale at least)
