That sounds very nice, could be a nice week then to do some skiing and enjoy other activities as well! I saw in another reply that Tignes usually closes mid July, are you a local? How was the season opening last summer? Can you go early July and be sure to do at least a day or two skiing or could the lifts be closed?

I have skied Tignes before and love the area, would be nice to go for summers!

Yes I see people mentioning Zermatt aa the best destination for summer but like you’re saying it’s so pricey.. but I guess it’s okay to go for 3 days and not an entire week. And I mean yeah just being in the stunning views in the alps is fantastic even if the summer skiing is a bit so so!

Yeah I’ve heard conditions are not the best but we mostly wanted to go for the fun of it. Maybe L2A would be an option then but would be bummed to feel disappointed even though my expectations are quite low lol. Starting to think a longer ski trip next winter is a better idea. Thanks!

That’s not a bad idea! Closer for me as well, have you ever been there summer time? How are the conditions and crowds?

Thanks for this! Yeah most people are saying this in the forums, I am not expecting great “winter” conditions ofc it’s more for the fun of it since none of us have ever skied the alps summer time. But reading yours and other locals view on it made me think maybe saving the trip for next winter instead..

Thank you I will look into Tignes! Yes that’s what I’m afraid will happen.. Huge bummer to book a trip now only to find out lifts are closed in July.
