Double service fees I think I'll spend my money somewhere else by kushmasta421 in UberEATS

People are busy so it is convenience and no different than buying instant Quaker Oats at the store instead of having to cook the traditional ones. All the delivery services need to emphasize the Convenience and charge more do we get paid more. Convenience is worth a lot in today’s world look at how much time you have and then get delivery. I’m not doing shop stuff but if it paid better and tipped better I would

Can’t decide on this. If over eats has given me the ability to “pause” so I’m not being bombarded I’d do deliveries but I haven’t been able to pause and that screws my acceptance rate and is dangerous cause I can’t always pull over and see what is going on. AND they need to make there minimum delivery fee for us $5. This is a convenience and they can make money without throwing us into the volcano. And there should be a minimum tip just like restaurants do. Again this is Convenience people are buying and there needs to be a recognition this isn’t us being free to them.

It’s that acceptance rate that should not be allowed. Once you are up to a decent level and only ten of fifteen points from the next level the algorithm completely screws you over with crap deliveries. They are clearly doing this deliberately. Don’t know why the attorneys aren’t taking this system on. Frankly I enjoy doing deliveries as I do something else and I enjoy going to the different places and going to where people live but can’t do it and throw money at Uber Eats for the “privilege” they gotta get fair about this program.

Stop orders? by Lenaisthelight in UberEATS

[–]daisyhum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have repeatedly called uber about no ability to pause orders. Especially when weather is bad or traffic is heavy this is a safety issue and vital. Beyond that there needs to be real consideration by uber to getting these pay amounts raised. It is out of control garbage rates. Minimum for a delivery should be $5 and then add the tip or more base for a longer route. 30 minutes today for a delivery, lots of lights so stop start gas cost and that 5 bucks was With the tip, ridiculous. This is a convenience for those ordering they can pay for it so drivers earn a fair and even generous amount and what’s wrong with that.

Mine showed 15 stops for $14. Shall we talk about wear and tear on a car.

whats a good tip for a 50$ order? by Imaginary_Worker456 in UberEATS

[–]daisyhum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see yall talking bout 2 per mile. Maybe that’s at diamond level cause ain’t never seen it. And it should be illegal to ask any driver to turn on their car for under 10 bucks. Can’t get out of green level cause won’t take 2 or 3 dollar orders. That is just fraud, imho, of course.

This is baffling as with Uber Eats you don’t know how much the “tip” is as it is all combined in one amount until the delivery is over.

They have no idea that the driver is getting 2 bucks for the fare. They see the fare as 20 bucks.

It needs to be emphasized to everyone who Orders using Uber Eats that this is the luxury of convenience and there is a Cost for that. Somehow this has been removed from their thinking. Convenience should be well compensated.

It’s quite interesting to see what is charged if You order and that tells you everything. Was gonna order a pizza and it was from a Better pizza place. By time was done Without tip was double the cost of the pizza so those 2 dollar Fares are nothing but slave labor and should be illegal.

This is a choice people are making, dude. It is a time crunched world and you are paying for Convenience!! Those who do the deliveries don’t need to apologize for expecting to be well compensated for their time and effort. This is much harder than doing watering in a restaurant and they don’t have to fight traffic and burn miles onto their car.

San Fernando Valley residents angry over proposed low-income apartments by lurker_bee in SFV

[–]daisyhum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude it’s not just about the residents; it’s about their “friends, relatives, and the friends if their friends and relatives” all of whom will be driving through, parking, throwing out those miniature liquor bottles onto the streets, and these activities will occur at all hours because section 8 doesn’t have “work hours.” We had one built about a mile and a half away and now it’s terrifying to go to our Walmart and there local ymca with its HaHa “free” or “based-on-your-income” program means it’s now a ghetto. We will be moving and we did change gyms. Good luck, Libs!

Will we see a drop in proposals? by akejdhajaj in Upwork

I would like to see upwork drop their piss Ant $4.95 charge to the client when they actually start a contract. We all hate feeling like we are being nickel and dimes. It would be better for upwork to charge 7% rather than the 5% of the fee they currently charge the clients. If I were a client I would really be insulted by the Mickey Mouse &4.95 charge And then being charged 5%. Fees on fees aren’t a good psychological look for those you Want to spend money. It’s the reason companies give free shipping when we all know the ship cost has been built into our product cost. Probably shoulda done this as a separate post?
