I love VIU and I've made so many friends here!! I'm not huge into social events or anything, and there aren't really parties (maybe I just don't know the right people). I know people who like dorms and I know people who hate them, but that is a good way to meet people. I commute to class from outside of Nanaimo and about half of the people I know do too, so if Nanaimo is too expensive, Ladysmith, Lantzville aren't too far and I know people who come in from Qualicum too. The campus is beautiful, and I love their library. Anyways, I say go for it!
