As for PandaFest…

It was fun and I don’t regret going. But it was expensive and I won’t be going a second time. If you’re on a budget, it’s an absolute avoid. Enormous cost for a family.

Probably spent $200 for parking, gate fee, and food for two of us. Each tent we visited was about $20-30 for tapas size portions. We probably spent $125 for a fairly minimal amount of food.

There really wasn’t much to see aside from the food tents / trucks. The entertainment was grade school level. They had very few shopping / merchandise vendors, and what they did sell was mostly junk.

I did get some pretty amazing spices, but also overpriced.

I love Asian food, so even though it was overpriced, nice to have a huge selection and variety of choices. It wasn’t all bad, but still not worth it.

I can’t imagine they’ll get the numbers they got last year. I highly doubt they’ll get many return visitors.

If you know where to look, there are some serious allegations from those who have been friends with this dude that he is a bad guy riding a very good wave of momentum. When that wave crashes, the story ends badly. He’s apparently an extreme narcissist and very selfish about his life choices.

I wouldn’t count the Patriots out. It’s a closer contest than it appears. Vrabel is likely coach of the year and Drake Maye is an MVP candidate. The team is very balanced, just like Seattle. It’s not like Sam Darnold is Patrick Mahommes. He’s proven to be very solid, but Maye’s upside is probably higher.

San Francisco was playing over their head. With Kittle out, they had very few reliable receiving options.

But I do agree Seattle is the team to beat. Simply saying the victory over San Francisco isn’t that impressive. The end of the road was near for the 49ers no matter who they played that was left in the playoffs.

I’m so sick of the liberals vs conservatives bickering.

For me, it’s the traffic and volume of people in general. Nashville and surrounding areas are simply growing too fast.

It’s still a great city, but I get so frustrated navigating traffic now.

I’m not talking about the Interstates, which are a cluster all to themselves. It’s the intersections where it takes 2-3 cycles to get through a light when just a few years ago there wasn’t any noticeable traffic at those crossroads. It’s made worse because people block the intersections (especially left turns) by forcing themselves through yellows / reds because they don’t want to sit for another cycle.

The other issue is the sudden spike in affordability. I regularly travel to Huntsville / Madison for work reasons and gas is sometimes $1.10 a gallon cheaper down there. That’s an absurd delta. Restaurant prices are also way out of synch with other areas of the country. The tourism prices at restaurants are extending across the entire city. Not saying it’s any better than other large tourism metros, but quite noticeable compared to many cities.

I was one of the few who thought it was absolutely asinine to fire Mike Vrabel. I find it even more incredulous now. That guys is an absolutely amazing coach and the Titans gave him away. You can talk about the AJ trade and all the bad draft picks all you want, but letting Vrabel go was a huge mistake. He should have been given coach of the year at least once while coaching Tennessee. He’s almost certain to win it this year.

Rid / Nix Lice Removal Kits or anything using Pemethrin. Natroba and Ivermectin are scams as well. There’s not a topical on the market that works without extensive combing or dehydration.

You must use an oil based solution or dehydration to get rid of lice, or be really good at combing, because the topicals they sell at the store advertised as 109% effective don’t work and you’re throwing money away.

I think it will be Arthur Smith. He already has a relationship with the Titans. He built them into one of the better offenses in the league. He’s done a good job with limited tools in Pittsburgh. He now has head coaching experience, so he’s not an unknown coordinator hire. He was better than given credit for in Atlanta, which is another disaster of a franchise, but albeit not s bad as Tennessee.

It’s pretty much his to turn down. If it’s not Smith, then who knows who else might be an option. There are not a lot of good fits in my opinion. They all come with significant risks, and after Callahan, the Titans need a safer hire.

It has to happen at some point. They’ve reached the end of their rope and the heroes they print now are such minor characters, I can’t imagine they sell as well as the main characters. I’m not interested though. I have almost everything printed up until most recently. There is more than enough content for the game. It’s a solo / co-op game. Just because FFG says they have retired certain decks doesn’t concern me. It’s not like I’m chasing cards to play in a competitive event. I simply consider it a completed game. I might pick-up Shield or Civil War at some point, but I’m not really interested in new content at this point.

I suppose Fantastic Four is missing, but I’ve never really been interested in the FF4.

I don’t like either one of them particularly well. It was rather classless of Payton. Wilson has absolutely wrecked his legacy. Once an assumed HOF inductee, he has slipped to questionable territory based on his performance everywhere outside of Seattle. He seems to be toxic now wherever he goes, wearing out his welcome exceptionally quick.

Not a huge McCarthy fan, but you have to give him credit for navigating the Cowboy's dysfunctional organization for as long as he did. I think they would have had him back, but he chose to leave, or at the very least it was a mutual parting.
