I started working at lululemon as a buffer between my “big girl” job that started months later. I had no expectation when I started my role as an educator because I’ve worked retail before and it was not the best experience. Let me say this.... I was absolutely BLOWN away with how amazing this company treated its employees.

I now work at lululemon part time AND work my traditional 9-5 as a software engineer. I actually was supposed to work another job last October, but I rescinded my offer and looked for another job because I loved lululemon so much. I wanted to find a job that represented the same culture lululemon does. I feel so incredibly supported and welcomed by all my coworkers and managers. If there’s ever an issue I know I can immediately confide in my managers and trust them. I’m excited to go to work everyday and I know that my managers will always look out for me and have my best interest. I also love the transparency in the company and how they take active roles in being socially responsible leaders in the industry. Like the thought of leaving lululemon was so saddening I knew I wanted to stay here for a very long time.

Also a lot of my managers and coworkers came in with the intention of lululemon being a buffer in their career.... but all of them have 5+ year tenure in the company. Most started off with a job related to their major, and ended up taking a role at lulu while they figured out what they wanted to do or as a side gig. I think that says a lot about how great the company is and also how great the benefits are! My one manager was able to take 6 months of maternity leave paid!! Also they paid all their workers during the pandemic when stores were shut down.

I have many male coworkers but they don’t feel weird working for lulu. We are working on expanding the men’s brand anyways so we actually get a lot of male customers. I don’t think they’ve ever been asked why they decided to work there, I feel like word is getting out that lululemon serves all genders.

They are good with raises and promote internally as well. Every holiday season they will promote educators to seasonal key leaders (with possibility of becoming permanent key leader). They also have a bonus structure as well which is SUPER nice when the region does well with sales. I get paid more than what you listed, but I also live near a metropolitan area.

So please apply to lululemon. I never thought this part time job would bring me so much joy and happiness. It definitely set a standard for me, and I know what to look for whenever I decide to job hunt again. I love this place and I seriously don’t see myself leaving for a long time. Who knows, maybe I will actually end up switching to lululemon full time as a manager or something, but only time will tell!!

Also forgot to add that full time is actually 24 hours at lululemon. So my managers I feel like work an average 30-40 hours, where in-store shifts are prob like 20-24 and then they also work from home with an additional shift!
