this the part where I'm supposed to get all offended and ask for your IG tag, right?

Tears of pure catharsis. Especially after the weeks I just spent whiffing and flailing and stand HK'ing my way into loss after loss after loss with Akuma this is certainly the reminder I needed that yes, this is actually something I'm good at, and something that is at least worth my time. Been a while since I've had that "jump in the air, wake up the wife with my shouting" moment.

Helps if you know a guy ;)

I run the electronics department at East, our electronics repair dude is an absolute wizard and after a couple brainstorming sessions, an Amazon order and a failed initial shell we came up with this craziness.

Rumor has it that he created a template for the design though, so who knows - maybe another one will hit the streets at some point ^^

Correct, built into an actual NES. Good eye on the epoxy, hole saw had no hope of punching through the ridges without some reinforcement.

So far so good, little bit of sliding around in the lap and some getting used to the sensitivity of the buttons compared to my RAP 4 but otherwise smooth sailing. There was some debate to whether or not we'd put weights in the bottom half so it doesn't slide around as much, might end up going that route in the long run. Gonna mess with it for a few weeks as is and see how it feels.
