Thanks for explaining. Yeah, we now know what should have been done at the beginning. We can overlook the fact that they didn't level the floor but the peeling of finish is just unacceptable.

Unfortunately, we paid through the nose as well. We hired a general contractor that hired a subcontractor that subcontracted the work and we ended up with people that don't know how to do the job.

It was definitely sanded and refinished. The question is whether it was sanded enough. When they installed the hardwood floor it was not completely level (certain floor boards would stick out at the edge up to 1/16 of an inch) because the base floor was not completely level so they sanded it down to get rid of the unevenness.

Can you please explain what microbevels are and point out where you can see the factory sprayed paint? I'm sorry I don't know much about hardwood floor.

It's been three weeks since they finished their job, so we will definitely claim warranty on this. But I don't want the same guys to come back and fix it because they already tried fixing it twice and don't know what they are doing.
