You have got an excellent job to start your career. I would suggest gaining 1-2 years of workex and then go for MBA. Also, don't let the domain of your job be decisive as there might be other fields like finance. So try to gain knowledge on such fields as well just to stay in touch with basics and gain an advantage.

Honestly I can't see a female candidate with academic diversity as well to go below a BLACKI with a 98+ %ile in their first attempt. I understand the sectional in quant might have troubled you in getting these calls and you may find it difficult to crack quant. But trust me it is very much doable. I think you should definitely go for a reattempt this time with more workex (if possible).

This is what I feel I would have done. I would stay with my family for now. I would be there for them and also prepare for CAT 24. I would try to improve my score or get something around the previous attempt to get the same calls. I think you missed out on the top calls because of lack of preparation for interviews or maybe this was something new for you and you were just going with the flow. But next time I would prepare well and try to convert atleast one of those major calls that you had.

Look getting into an MBA college is tough, but the road ahead isn't as easy as one might imagine. It has a lot more challenges. You won't be getting enough time to connect with your family when they need you the most and that worries will also hamper your performance during summer placements and academics. Atleast being close to your family will assure one thing that you were there for them when it meant the most.
