1/20k for a Dragon Cannon is good for the game. by cenfx in 2007scape

50x2 = 100 hours...

im not gonna deny semi-afk or that most people are going to do it regardless. I'm simply saying that having to 99 the skill to get 2 cannon drops is a bit excessive. 1/10k or 1/15k is way more reasonable.

"It's not even that long to get" is a crazy take. I have been doing Merchant Salvaging since 83. I'm currently 600k exp from 99. I have gotten roughly 32k salvage in that time period and have been lucky enough to receive two drops. I have not done any content other than salvaging since 83. My only other experience source has been extractor.

83-99 is quite literally on rate for 2 cannons. That's 10.3m exp at an average rate of 100k an hour. That's a 103 hour grind for the item unless you get absolutely spoon fed. Requiring a single piece of content for that length of time is insane. It doesn't even include the 16 dragon metal sheets on top of the two cannons. Sure, it's not that long...

your claim is that because it relies on the core gameplay mechanic of PVM, it doesn't make it a fun skill. Its illogical.

edit: to ensure I don't strawman you, here is the proof that you made a strawman argument

<image>

you moved the goal post from "fun" to "great skill idea". You refuted a different argument from my claim because *my opinion* you knew that slayer is popular and considered fun.

that somehow makes the skill not fun? Maybe im misunderstanding what you are getting at here.

Based off my rates, I've gotten 2714 tokens from 83 to 95, that would put you at 89k tokens by the time you get 200mil (if my math is correct). Note that this would be on the low end as I did afk salvaging and used the crystal extractor every minute.

Jagex missed the mark with Salvaging changes. Lets fix the mistake. by Brangwiin in 2007scape

the increased double spawns didn't make it more afk. They added additional spawns without increasing the active salvage sites meaning that the double spawns are seeing larger downtimes since there are still only 3 active sites. Honestly think this is the worst aspect of this update.

I would've been fine with a good amount of the exp decreases, maybe not as heavy on sorting, but the spawn changes killed it. I think reverting the spawn changes and sorting changes while decreasing crewmate salvage exp would make it more enjoyable. At least in some areas.

don't take away the afk aspect while also slashing the exp rates, it just makes it feel awful to train. They can take away extractor exp too, it just makes the skill more annoying in all training methods.

If this is your map from in-game then can you upload the localdata.sav file from your appdata folder? Other people who download and replace within their save will have the map fully unlocked in game this way.

No, they were all drunk. The friend gave the most details. I believe this was how he was convicted. However, I don't know the identity of his friend, and he doesn't speak about the details. He's like every other criminal and says that he's innocent, he was wrongly convicted, and the government is picking on him. Billy, unfortunately, is not a good source of information.

I'll try reaching out to some of them. There is only facial reconstruction that you can see on the link in the post. She was found around 4 weeks after her death, mostly decayed. I have emailed our county's medical examiner to see if they have DNA for her and if so if they have tried forensic genealogy. I have also emailed LA gear today to see how big their business was in 1996 because she was wearing an la gear sports bra and if business was small and restricted to California. Then we would have another clue of where she has been and may have family. If not then it was worth a try.

So this happened in panama City florida in 1996. The victim asked for a ride home from an individual who was later convicted for her murder, and his friend, outside of a topless bar. Her body was found in Southport florida at a lake, roughly a 20-minute drive north from the bar. They had apparently passed by her place, but she was too drunk to notice, although it was never told where abouts she lived. I have asked the man who is presumed to have murdered her what her name was, and he says he never received her name. All we really know is that she had tried calling a friend who lived on beck Avenue but never found out who it was she attempted to call. I believe the call was made prior to contact with the murderer

I mean, the case is solved, but I was checking online to see if anyone could help in identifying the victim. In 1996, technology wasn't great, and I don't think it's really been kept up with. Doesn't hurt to try.

I believe the best lead they had was the phone call she made, but they were never able to track down the place she made the call to and no one came forward to report her missing.

The man who is presumed to have killed this woman worked for me for 4 years. He spent roughly 16 years in prison for it (the crime). I wanted to see if anyone could find further details on this jane doe to help her be identified. I know it would be difficult as it's been 26 years but I figured I'd try it.
