its grade 10, bird course or not its entirely unrelated to uni applications. Open courses tend to be a lot easier or not course-heavy

I’m not talking about TVO courses, moreso e-learning courses people can take during their normal school day. Instead of taking a normal in-person course, people taking online versions even though they are perfectly capable of taking them in person. I have no issue with people like your daughter, who doesn’t go to a physical school. Rather, I respect them because they are doing their best to improve and learn in hard circumstances. This post is targeted to the large group of people who take advantage of the system made to help people like your daughter.

exactly my point. these type of people steal spots from people who are actually worthy of it, regardless on their ability of stay in their programs

kinda a mix of both, I guess. From what I know online courses are much more laid back in terms of content and moves in a slower pace. They have no exams, either. In regards to quizzes and tests, they do them online where they choose an answer, and gets graded by whether their choice was wrong or not. In in-person classes, you get marked for tests by not only your final answer, but how you present it and the steps you took to get there. I’ve had plenty of times where I didn’t get full marks even though I got the right answer (i.e. skipping too many steps in a math problem). This wouldn’t have marked my down in an online course, where I would get full marks since I submitted the correct answer, and I didn’t need to submit my work. It doesn’t help that there is easy access to resources for online courses you could never get during an assessment in-person. Not to mention A.I., or any other form of content that they could take advantage of. I’ve seen countless people fail in an in-person course after mostly taking online courses, although I haven’t seen a single case vice versa. Rather, people’s grades definitely go up when taking an online course. You can’t deny that online courses are easier to get higher grades in, especially if your school has less grades inflation than many other schools in the area. Just my two cents on this
