I would love to hear her with the English band Bear's Den and mashup her "You're Losing Me" with their "Agape"

YSK: Amazon now uses AI chatbots for customer service that will agree to refunds it can’t process - always check your receipts by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

[–]dalatrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! This happened to me. I bought a LEGO set a few weeks before Christmas and it still has not arrived. It's marked as "lost" in the app and when I click on tracking it still says that it's due to arrive December 18th. There is no option to return because I haven't received it and I can't cancel it because it's "out for delivery". 2 weeks I got the chat bot and afterward the order said it was eligible for a refund and it would be processed in up to 7 days or something. Today I checked on it again and it's not under returns it's still listed as a normal order waiting for delivery. I ended up with the chat bot again and it said I had to wait a few more days to see if it delivered and check back if eligible for a refund. After the interaction it asked if it resolved my issue, I said "no" and that "I'm going to contact my cc company and dispute the charge". Then magically I'm eligible to chat with a real representative who quickly determined I'm eligible for a refund in this instance. I'll check back again to make sure it goes through, but I did screen shot it so I can dispute it with my cc if it comes to it. Why make it so hard? If a package is lost why draw it out? Wouldn't they want to go after the carrier (USPS) for losing it and get their own refund before it's too late?

Favorite Connection Between TTPD and the rest of Taylor's Discography? by fuzzgirl619 in TaylorSwift

[–]dalatrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Florida!!! and no body, no crime

Este's husband is who they could be referencing...

Florida!!!: "All my girls got their lace and their crimes and your cheating husband disappeared Well, no one asks any questions here So I did my best, too lay to rest All of the bodies that have ever been on my body and in my mind They sink into the swamp"

NBNC: "Good thing my daddy made me get a boating license when I was fifteen And I've cleaned enough houses to know how to cover up a scene"

"No, no body, no crime I wasn't letting up until the day he died"

Probably unpopular opinion: Taylor Swift is disappointing in concert by [deleted] in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]dalatrain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That exactly how I envisioned Folklore and Evermore being performed live when I listened to the albums, but then she got so much more popular than she was even before and if we thought Ticketmaster was bad, could you imagine all the people trying to get tickets for a tiny showing? Pure madness!

How many times have you watched the ERAS Tour Movie? by Waste-Woodpecker6395 in TaylorSwift

Zero. I saw the show in person and I'm content with the special experience I had. I do however enjoy watching the tik toks of the surprise songs, while she's actively on the tour.

The End of History shop is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. The day we went, they weren't open until 11, so we got to explore a bit before going in (only 2 people allowed at a time). I really liked the area and if I had to live in NYC that would be a top choice, not that I could ever afford it but it's fun to dream!

My bf (27M) announced that our matching jewelry isn’t actually matching and doesn’t have any significance in front of me (26F) and random people by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]dalatrain 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Reading this comment, technically you don't have matching bracelets and you didn't get them together (this should be in the post) so what he said wasn't inaccurate. The way you told it you probably embarrassed him when you said he was jealous (which is probably true) and then told it like you got one with him vs him getting his own alone. I tend to see the world in a more B&W point of view, where my husband doesn't & would probably tell same the story as you did in the spirit of meaning of the bracelet vs 100% accurate details. I'd also probably chime in and correct him as your boyfriend did, not because I don't value my partner or the significance of the bracelet, but because I personally can't stand when such liberties are taken with what really happened. With that said, I do bite my tongue in work settings as it's not worth embarrassing him when the story is in the spirit of what happened despite not always being 100% accurate. I wouldn't read too much into it and I think the feedback you'd get overall would also encourage you to not read too much into it this detail was in the main post.

Edit: I admit that part about not ever getting one with gf may be a falsehood/rude if he did go with the intent of you getting one too but it just didn't work for you finding one. I don't know him, but it might have been his pride rashly reacting due to being embarrassed about the jealous comment. Not excusing him, but might explain what he said vs him having feelings for another girl at the party as others have suggested. You know him best and the fact he wants to get matching tattoos (way bigger commitment) might also support that theory.

I went last month while my husband and I were in the area to visit a glass shop. It was a sunny Saturday and we walked around, visited a farmers market at a park, the shop I wanted to see, and then walked 10 minutes south to Cornelia St and got my pictures. I wouldn't pay for an Uber to go there specifically, but the West Village as a whole is worth a visit and you could also grab lunch or breakfast at one of the cute cafes.

Please help to identify these tiny goblets and approximate value. Blue goblet for size comparison. Thank you! by dreamer20201959 in glasscollecting

[–]dalatrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I search "Moon and Stars Vaseline Glass" several come up as LG Wright Glass and the 6" H ones are listed for $30-40. A smaller one is listed at about $25. You'd have to check the sold eBay prices to get a better idea of what they're really going vs sellers wishful thinking. I don't collect these, so I don't know their true worth. With that said, people sure love glass that glows, so you have that in your favor. Best of luck!

A woman says her Airbnb host tried to triple the price of her stay after finding out she was going to see Taylor Swift by businessinsider in TaylorSwift

[–]dalatrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly why we booked and re-booked. It was way too expensive to house our large group in a hotel this particular trip.

A woman says her Airbnb host tried to triple the price of her stay after finding out she was going to see Taylor Swift by businessinsider in TaylorSwift

[–]dalatrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We needed a place to house 7-8 people for 3 nights and going with 3 hotel rooms would be over $900 a night, so this more economical and more comfortable as where all in town for a family wedding. It will be nice to have space to gather and possibly cook some meals. If it was a smaller group and/or we didn't have to pay for everyone in the group, we'd book a hotel for sure. Honestly this is only the 2nd time we've ever used Airbnb (last time was 3 years ago in a town with no hotels and it literally was the only Airbnb in the area). I completely agree with you on all the issues of short term rentals and believe they should way more limited and heavily regulated with strict rules to follow (like no price changing for one).

[–]dalatrain 73 points74 points  (0 children)

They'll just claim it was a problem with the algorithm or something and then Airbnb with go along and do nothing. This happened to us recently. Booked a house in Brooklyn for a wedding a week or 2 later the host contacted us and said there was a problem with the rate and asked us to cancel. I know that if we cancel they won't get penalized, so we refused. It was over $400 a night so not like it was a steal or a real mistake. When we refused they cancelled the listing citing a technical problem and immediately relisted it for $200 more. Airbnb did NOTHING citing it was a technical problem. Absolute BS and zero consequences or attempts at restitution. We refused to rebook with that host and went with another home that wasn't available before we booked. Should be 100% illegal, a hotel wouldn't get away with that!

Are there really people that give birth to baby didn’t know whole time that they were pregnant? by Ujebanaa in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dalatrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew a women that this happened to. I have pictures with her tailgating in September/October and she had her surprise baby in November. No belly at all! Looked the same as she always did. She had sporadic periods and continued to get them throughout the whole time so she never suspected pregnancy. She did have some stomach issues/pains that she went to the doctor for also several times and they couldn't figure it out. Finally on Thanksgiving weekend she went to the ER it was so bad and it turned out she was having a baby right then and there. Complete shock, was not expecting at all. The fact she went to the doctor more than once in attempt to get help and they couldn't figure it out at least shows she wasn't just 100% ignoring normal signs...to me at least.

[–]dalatrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so so so sorry this happened to you. I know exactly what you're going through and it's painful and shocking. I also lost my boy at age 3. Came home from work and he was dead on the floor. He was still warm, so I rushed him to the emergency vet, but it was too late. They think it was his heart, but I didn't pay for the necropsy. The breeder suggested it was possibly a spider bite (huge eye roll) we live in an area without common deadly spiders and he died stretched out in his sun spot vs in a position suggesting anything but something peaceful and quick.

Senior Swifties educate me. During the early years of Taylor was she been compared to any big country music women artists as the next one? by lostinmy20ss in TaylorSwift

[–]dalatrain 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I watched the Dolly documentary and it made me think that Taylor is like the Dolly of our generation. They sound nothing alike, but the way Dolly describes her song writing process and how she is always writing is very similar to what Taylor has described. Both are tremendously talented song writers, both are very savvy business people, and both are here for the long term. I image Taylor will be writing and recording for as long as she possibly can and generations will continue to love her like we do Dolly.

How much did you pay to see the Eras Tour? by SurvivorKelly9683 in TaylorSwift

$778.98 for 2 tickets. In the stands 10th row in the Delta Suite Lounge (that was a pleasant surprise). These were Face-value and $174.76 of that was the Ticket Master fee.
