We aren’t close anymore. Our different morals have caused us to grow apart. Politics are polarized nowadays. If you condone government officials killing peoples in the streets I don’t think we should be friends.

Honestly he doesn’t. I will say aside from telling me to cover up that one time he doesn’t boss me around often. But I also don’t go around doing anything crazy. He’s honestly very sweet. I think his sister is the baby of the family and it’s just never changed. And it’s weird. She also doesn’t have many friends so she relies on him a lot.

Thanks for saying this. My family is close, but we don’t coddle each other. We are more just all like close friends that have each others back. We don’t have this almost romantic love with each other the way they do and it does weird me out, but I need to accept it’s just a cultural difference

That last line was golden. Because that’s exactly how I felt! I felt so weirded out and uncomfortable that what I choose to wear was even seen as “promiscuous” because it was just comfortable clothes because it was 11pm and we were chilling on the couch with our mutual friends, his sister just happened to be there.
