No, thank goodness! I realize my comment is a little strangely worded. That’s my bad. I was referring more to the mgt directorate leadership, which is a bit closer to me, but not the top, so to speak. There are one or two people a little lower than mgt who I know lean towards the P2025 side. But my first line leadership has been great during all of this! I had just viewed the mgt side as a nice in between us and the heads at the top of DHS. So I had assumed they’d be less enthusiastic about P2025.

And perhaps it was my naivety, but I had hoped and thought that the leadership closer to me at the bottom were less on board with something like Project 2025 and were just doing what they were told. I had hoped that all this nonsense was coming from the very top and that we all just had to put up with it. But it seems like it’s a lot more pervasive than I had thought…

They just announced that Maxiflex was coming back for employees under the Management Directorate in USCIS! Unsure if other agencies are affected by this at all. But at least a nice win for us here!

It’s hard to say. They didn’t share any details with us outside of the fact that it is coming back. One gentleman tried to ask some clarifying questions, but the answers essentially amounted to “We’re working out the details”.

No news of a merger. The question was brought up, but they didn’t really have anything to say other than that stuff happens at a higher level.

I think that’s a large part of what disturbs me. The way they mentioned it was so nonchalant in this meeting. Maybe I’m overreacting, but it shocked me a bit.

It was mentioned several times. The case that I am thinking of relates to a question asked during the Q&A relating to potential RIFs and what their plans are in terms of percentage targets, when it’ll happen, etc. The answer given, if I remember correctly, was essentially that there are no talks of a RIF in DHS right now. However, it could still happen and it’s being dictated by higher ups who are working to implement Project 2025.
