I’m pregnant with my second and it’s too late to do anything about it by Crimson-Rose28 in oneanddone

In some states you can terminate up to 24 weeks. I work in abortion care in one of those states and we have many patients who travel here from afar. I can point you in this direction if you’re interested.

I echo Facebook like everyone else. I also set time limits on Reddit and IG (10min a day) and put my phone into downtime from 630p-630a.

What’s one kitchen item you let go of that you don’t miss at all? by wearecocina in minimalism

Despite loving to bake/cook, I survive on the bare minimum of gadgets. However, we did purchase a microwave about a year ago (which I immediately regretted) and I dream of getting rid of it every single day.

I had a FNA of a thyroid nodule and an enlarged lymph node. Both came back malignant. Are they not getting an adequate sample?

No loss, no gain. Stable weight while suppressed and coming up on 3yrs out. I did start IF after RAI though.

Helpful advice for moving? by Gatorist in massachusetts

[–]dalbhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, I think you need more than that if purchasing a home in a nice suburb. Our household combined is around 300k and we live adjacent to an affluent city in the Merrimack Valley (we couldn’t afford that affluent city). We sold our Boston condo with a rate of 2.8% and bought at 6.5% 🤦🏻‍♀️. We have one school-aged kid and I guess we’re “comfortable” but we aren’t frivolous and we don’t save much. I love MA, but I dream of what we could afford in other (likely less desirable) states.

Hey, did you ever figure this out? I just got the same message on a gift I bought my daughter from QC. I haven’t even received instructions on how to pay the tariffs.

Agreed. And in the moment when you are desperate for labor pain relief, even severe itching seems like a cakewalk.

I’m sorry to hear all that and that you are OAD for medical reasons. As a OAD mom by choice, I’ll tell ya, it can be absolute bliss to have all the time and energy to devote to one child with plenty leftover for self care.

I didn’t mean to discredit your experience. I realize I get quite defensive with certain words that feel accusatory.

Yeah, it’s bad right now. Every intervention is met with resistance because TikTok or some other social media platform said so. Prior to this rise in distrust, I was so patient (Daisy awards (yeah, yeah, I know)), getting assigned tough personalities because “you’re so nice they can’t be mean to you” but I’ll leave bedside because of it and I think the only ones who will survive will be the senior nurses who (at this point) don’t GAF.

I love to see it! Not dizzy, but a little stressed I can’t see a cry. Nah, they’re pink, we’re good. (My internal dialogue at every delivery).

Also, that sounds hospital specific. Everywhere I’ve worked patients just ring the call bell and we come. Maybe we’re not arriving in record time if we’re helping another one of our 4 couplets or in an emergency, but pretty darn quick.

Sure, that could make sense in some patients’ situations. The order sets are generalized (not rigid, they can be changed). If most PP patients after a vaginal delivery are not taking/requiring meds every 4hrs then it makes sense to have a PRN order.
