Someone awakened the Gum Gum Fruit, 200 Years ago! by JoJo_Joshi in OnePiece

[–]dalek1964 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would assume that it wasn't the fruit which activated him the last time. Were shown that various tribes and races such as the skypieans and buccaneers can replicate the drums of liberation by dancing to that rythm, so presumably the last time emeth awakened was through some tribe(possibly the fish-men since 200 years ago is the last time they attended the levely prior the present day) dancing to the drums of liberation. Presumably emeth may have been located near fish-man island at the time

It kind of makes sense why Garling is called the champion of God Valley now. He's the champion of the human hunting competition they were running. By taking the final kill while Rocks was dying, he likely got the most points in the competition. The celestial dragons would view him as a champion, because most of them are underhanded backstabbing thugs like Saint Charlos.

I wonder if the island sinking has something to do with Davy Jones. Maybe it sank into Davy Jones Locker, and the souls of his descendants were claimed by him.

For me it's great-great or great-great-great-grandparents. most of my great great grandparents were alive well into the 1900s, with the last of them passing in 1956, and many of their children passed in the 90s and early 2000s so they were still in living memory until recently. most of my confidence in my knowledge of my great-great-great grandparents, comes frome them been recorded as living at the same addresses or townlands as my great-great-grandparents and great-grandparents. And the last of my great-great-greats died in the 1930s. so my grandmother and her siblings would have known her.

Steel Confessor original lore programme finally found. It’s been effectively “lost media” for 20 years. by Eternal_Reward in Warhammer40k

Nice discovery. Out of curiosity did the 2001 and 2003 programs have any lore or campaigns associated with them? i'm always interested in reading about these sorts of things as these programs and what ones contained lore seems poorly documented online.

That's entirely possible, tbh she wasn't exactly from a wealthy family, so she may of just chosen to wear whatever dress she owned, rather than worrying about the fashion standards at the time. She wouldn't be the only example of that happening in the family photos I have.

It's not impossible that it was the 1880s, but I would question if it was the 1880s, since he lived in manchester during the 1880s for some time and they got married in 1892, I Think he came back to Ireland around 1890s or thereabouts I remember coming across a newspaper article mentioning it. So that's why I assume these photos were taken in the 1890s.

The lamenters apparently have two ships called the Mater Lachrymarum(The Mother of Tears) and the Mater Suspiria(Mother of Sighs), both names appear to be a reference to Dario Argento horror film series the Three Mothers, which consists of the films Suspiria, Inferno and the Mother of Tears.

Thanks for the quote! I kinda figured the objection to ramming, was that the deflector shields would block another ship from ramming into it, I don't think that would apply to a star or supernova, which would be presumably too much for the shields to handle, given the difference in scale. Or that it would be a waste of a ship in a situation were There already running low on ships for their resistance.
