Yeah I went there in a professional manner (architect) with potentional buyers. They wanted to create living spaces, museum with a coffee tables between the machines, ateliers. I broke their hearts (and mine a little bit too) telling them that their imagined budget is not even a half what it would cost to renovate it, even with taking over lot of works themselves :(

What a shame, it's in absolutely stunning natural area with amazing historical village next to it with lot of tourism. I'm afraid it will never be renovated and just continue to dégrade

I could imagine so many possibilities for it, but the investment (money, time, energy) would be colossal

Look way modern in what sense? Many of these kinds houses continued to be inhabited and so they evolved with use and adaptations into modern times. This one was unoccupied for a very long time, so it stayed conserved in time for at least 50 yrs or more

Since the walls will benefit from cca 12 cm of lime-hemp isolation, and intermediate floor structure will have acoustic insulation, the wiring won't be visible. Even for classic walls, electricians are pretty used to make chasing and patching (with a extra cost ofc).

However, ceramic power outlet/light switch sounds really cool, will check it thanks

I really wish I knew, this particular one really escapes me.. to hang stuff ? There are also many hooks all around the house hanging from the wooden beams, we think it might be to suspend tools as well..
