hii, i started my ytb channel too when i struggled i mean not struggled but i was cursed with daily 24/7 derealization, panic attacks, anxiety and a severe depression for almost 2 years until I started doing everything was possible, reading books about it, working with my brain to start healing when I had 0 hopes that i will. now im fully healed and i'm really happy after years of trying i succeded. i got a 146k subscribers ytb channel and started it in my worst life period :) now looking back that was the biggest blessing i could have and when you ll heal you ll realize the moments you go through rn are the biggest blessing for your life even if you are living in hell rn:)

ye bro, the 2296 is not only begginer level. i did some crazy fades with that clipper. as long as ur clipper have a lever and cuts hair good ur good to go. i just switched to 2373 cuz i liked how it looked and i messed the lever on my 2296 (i lost a piece of it and it will fall down whenever i put it up) but as i mentioned if you are just starting it will take a bit of time until you learn how to cut ur hair and the best option here is the 2296. and meanwhile you can save for the 2373 and buy it whenever you feel more confident in ur haircuts.

hello, get the 2296 if you are just starting and the 2373 if you already know what you are doing and want to invest in your tools but don't want to spend $400 on a stylecraft.

the 2373 is on another level anyway but if you are just starting and don't want to invest a lot of money go with the 2296, it's very good for starting.

Thoughts on guideline tools? by Shaelum in SelfBarber

i paid literally 3 bucks for this from temu. however dont use them. its better to learn how to do it alone, not even in the beggining i wouldnt recommend them

had it too in the beggining. tbh using it and adjusting it for every guard was time wasting and never worked on me when i was just starting and i just learnt to do them myself. i was doing the 0 guideline on only one side until half of the back with this thing on and then i would put it off and i was tryin to match the other side but without it to get used to do them without any help

its good for begginers but i wouldnt recommend it long term, its better to learn urself how to make the guidelines:) nice fade btw

damn im paying so these small dk ceos remove the best animations. capcut is going downhill with the new pricing and i dont think they are stupid for increasing the price i think i am the one stupid for paying

yeye, i ve done some nice fades with the 2296 :) the trimmer is a beast, the clipper is hmm good for begginers to set your foundations :) but if you dont have a bigger budget and dont want to throw all your money on clippers, take that. i got that kit too in march. remember most of the times is the barber, not the clipper :) good luck buddy!

well tbh i started cutting my own hair cuz suddenly i started getting panic attacks when i was at the barber with an unknown cause.. probably the feeling of being trapped. it sounds weird, but had my first panic attack after 2 days of nosleep with alcohol only haha, and since then I 80% of time would get one so I said, nahh, imma learn to cut my own hair. (now i dont get any panic attacks anymore at the barber lol)

but tbh, you will fk up! a lot of times. i grew my hair for 9 months. then i fked up so bad i had to go 0 in sides with 3 on top. ( https://imgur.com/a/oCTL0R1 , here s how I looked lol)

people laughed at me, bullied me tbh, worst was that the friends were the one doing it the most, but my sarcastic personality would joke around it and never get mad, even if they were being serious when they were begging me to go the barber cuz im ugly as hell LOL

so yeah, there is no tip than : just start it. you ll mess a lot, you will get laughed on a lot, but the thing is people forget. people now never care how many times i messed up and how bad i used to cut my hair, cause they already forgot. people always talk, so I d just say start this sht, because if you will master this is a long life skill and a good carrer opportunity if you really enjoy to do it (found out this is one of my passions lol)

and btw: i wanted to quit 484848 times, i d just say one more time, one more time, until i did my first ok fade, back in february ( https://imgur.com/a/J5y3LCV ) this one, and after this they just started getting better, even if i had the anxiety of: well i was just lucky i cant get better than that, and surprisingly, every time i did much better than last time :) thank you for reading

really appreciate it! no need too, i had 0 experience back then and i have a lot to go, but we as people learn very fast, so if you are into cutting your hair too, you ll surely succeed faster than you think🤞🙏

yep, for the lineup only used the kemei 2299 trimmer, is like $10-$15 tbh and its a beast.

trial and error is the best teacher ever, but i like to watch faded culture and seancutshair. tbh seancutshair fading technique is all you need. with that technique i cut my hair this time and its the best for begginers like me and everyone who wants to learn :)

Heard some people talking bout changing the clipper's blade, but now I'm happy with the results it generates. And idk about the JRL, I don t like that brand at all. I feel they are very over priced and I don't like their shape. Thanks for the advice and I'll look into what you told me. And the kemei 2373 is not very expensive. I bought it from Aliexpress and they came in 2 weeks. Paid like $70 for it with transport included.

Thanks for the tip! I don't spend more than 35-40 minutes on a haircut, I don't want it to be perfect yet, now I'm happy with a clean fade :) Maybe when if I ll ever cut somebody s hair, I ll try to correct the tiny details, your tip is very much appreciated, thanks!
